Bleeding after salvage radiation
Currently about one year into
Lupron
+ Abiraterone + prednisone. Recently experienced very mild rectal and/or blood in stool. Is this likely due to the radiation, or something else?

1st Lupron shot - when do side effects kick in?
I'm bracing myself for the side effects, haha. Wife is going away for a few days and she said when she returns she expects to see me in the kitchen, baking cookies and watching reality TV. Wondering how long it will take before I feel anything...then again, I'll probably find out tonight when I roll

Cognition Issues
He is now on a clinical trial with NUBEQA plus
Lupron
. It brought his PSA from 14 to 4.5 and it is just setting around there for about 3 months. He just had a PSMA scan, a CT scan and an MRI all of which were NED.

paxlovid and abiraterone
He is on that, flomax and
lupron
. I know it’s better to take paxlovid before it gets much worse. We can’t reach the doctor till tomorrow, so I was just curious what you all have learned.

Lupron injection error?
My most recent
Lupron
injection started with the nurse going to give me a monoclonal antibody injection until I pointed out I wasn't to get that. Then I think she missed the deltoid. The injection was close to if not into the tendon at its insertion.

Blood work on radiation and Lupron
Urology physician assistant (PA) gave me a PSA blood lab slip to do prior to my next
Lupron
shot which is about 15 days after completing radiation. She said it was standard office protocol to do PSA test prior to
Lupron
shot.

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
Also, what has your experience with
Lupron
been and how do you combat the awful side effects? Are there any other treatments besides this?

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
He’s nearly 80 now, not 70, so there are the comorbidities of age + heavy, heavy treatment: total years of
Lupron
/Eligard (7 yrs and current); 9 weeks of radiation; 10 rounds of chemo; 3 yrs of Xgeva (started 6- month schedule recently). Failed Zytiga.

testosterone finally moving up after Treatment.
Finally after 19 months of
lupron
and zytiga and 40 rounds of radiation my testosterone has hit 325. I do 3 month testing and it has held for 6 months. I can feel the difference and am not only doing more but my weight is falling off and glucose has a hard time going above 115.

PSA suppression
In the end, I decided to skip Abi, Enza &
Lupron
and go back in time to DES (diethylstilbestrol). It's a synthetic estrogen that maintains bone health even while estradiol falls to zero. And it has anti-PCa properties.

Questions about ADT drugs and insurance
Will Medicare cover
Lupron
injections under part B as it is not self administered (as opposed to pills)? If so how much will they cover (with a supplement plan). Regarding Orgovyx, since it is a pill and not an injection will it be covered under Medicare part D drug coverage?

How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
They cannot report it for Enza mono as they could always add
Lupron
, and these had supra-physiologic Testosterone levels, so do not meet criteria for CR. It is an additional unmeasured possible advantage of ARSI monotherapy as it could be followed with ADT when monotherapy fails.

PSA doubled 3 months after chemo - normal or a concern?
I’m currently on
Lupron
and NUBEQA, and completed 6 rounds of taxotere at the end of April (Triplet Therapy). PSA cut in half every three weeks while on the chemo going from 0.944 in January to 0.013 in April.

I really want to avoid
Lupron
or Eligard since I take two blood pressure meds, one statin and Metformin for type 2 diabetes already. Plus, I have heard nothing but bad things about both. Yes, I realize everyone responds differently.

Two Qs: Benefits treatment; onset of bone pain
PSA kept climbing so I started
Lupron
2 years ago. Worked until recently when PSA spiked. PETscan showed metastasis for first time into torso lymph nodes. Been on Aberiterone and Prednisone for three months now (along with
Lupron
) and appears to bringing PSA back down.
