Lupron

With Orgovyx, I'm hoping to have a faster recovery of testosterone when I stop than I would otherwise experience with Lupron and other ADT meds. I have been consistently working out with weights with the help of a trainer to offset loss of muscle mass, weight gain and fatigue.

Treatmen: 3 month Lupron (last injection December 20th, Abiraterone 1000mg, Prednisone 10mg, Xgeva (28 day cycle), Nupogen ( 2 treatments last Thursday and Friday), and Docetaxel (1 of 6 treatments two weeks ago). Except for WBC and platelet counts dropping, everything has been well tolerated.

He has responded extremely well to triple therapy (Lupron, Zytiga, and Docetaxal). It took a while to drop, but his last PSA test was .35. Every visit it has been down since the last. (It’s high was only 9). My hubby is still feeling fine - totally asymptomatic- and living a great life.

Basically, I have been on Lupron and Aberaterone for most of my 11 years except for 3 “vacations” during the first 5 years. PSA has basically remained at below .05, except for the vacations and until about 18 months ago when it became measurable and started to rise.

On a 1 - 10 scale the aches and pains have been magnified 3 - 6X of what they were pre-Lupron. It seems like my low back aches have been consistent 2x-plus since the Lupron Any suggestions on ache and pain relief from adt? Does glucosamine help the joints? Tumeric for the muscles?

By now I thought my body will take Lupron with lesser hot flushes.

Went for 40 rounds of radiation with lupron and Zytiga for 8 months ending August 2020. PSA remained undetectable for 1 year ending August 2021. Since then PSA rose over the next 14 months to 1.5 in Nov 2022. No treatment at all since Aug 2021. PSMA IN Dec 2021 when PSA was .18 showed nothing.

Lots of mets mostly bone. 11-17-21 started treatment. 3 month Lupron injection followed 2 days later with 4 month Zometa and 1st of 6 cycles of docetaxel. At 2nd chemo PSA 301, ALK P 1730. At completion of chemo 4-8-22 PSA 2.45, ALK P 280.

does anyone have shortness of breath with Zytiga or Lupron?

Started xtandi and Lupron in 2021. Switched to aberitone in November 2022. so he has to get a bone scan and do blood work again in two weeks to see his doctor I. A month. feeling a little defeated today. Anyone else have a similar projectory? Advice?

So, after Lupron shot I went to Trader Joe's, and saw Shishito Peppers. When I was in Spain with #1 son and wife on 5 day Camino Frances, we had pimientos de padron many times, blistered mild peppers.

Took a 6 month shot of lupron. Discontinued lupron. Too many side affects. I have not had a detectable psa score since surgery. Contrary to the advice to have radiation targeted to the area of extraction, I am waiting it out. Getting psa checks every 3 months.

Due to being castration resistant and PSA rising while on Xtandi/Lupron, his MO says she needs scan(s) to restage his cancer. The problem is that my husband can't tolerate lying on his back for the duration and/or keep his arms raised above his head.

• Went on Firmagon + Erleada, then Lupron + Erleada and finally switched to Orgovyx + Erleada at my request. This worked for almost 15 months and then I became ADT resistant. • Late 2021, pelvic areas were treated with very high dose SBRT based on results of the SABR-COMET trial.

Has anyone completed this treatment? Have side effects gone away?

Tolerating Orgovyx very well and so far happy I pushed for it vs Lupron. My treating RO wants to stop ADT after 6mos and go into AS mode.

Age 45, Lupron and Xtandi for 5 months now. SE? Outer leg hair disappearing and facial hair much slower on the grow. Anyone else? Thanks. Crispy

In the past, Lupron SE seemed to start with hot flashes at about 4-6 weeks. I know Orgovyx drives the T down MUCH faster. Can I assume that the SE will also arise much faster? (Just started on it) Mel
