Lupron Question
Received a 3 month
Lupron
injection last week. Can someone share how long it takes to feel the full effects of the medication ? I'm awaiting insurance approval for Xtandi but I should start this week. Will Xtandi make a big difference in how I feel ?

Side effect of Lupron
He has no history of any issues with his blood pressure, heart, kidney, or liver and is not on any medications except
Lupron
, although he was on Bicalutamide for two weeks before
Lupron
to counter the drug-induced T flares.

EMBARK Trial: Combination-therapy is better.
monotherapy had the greatest risk of developing metastasis after 5 years (a 28.6 %), compared to a 20.0% risk for
Enzalutamide
monotherapy. The
combination of Enzalutamide +
had the lowest risk (12.7%). p < 0.001 (N=1068).

question for those who have stopped Lupron after many years of ADT
I have been on
Lupron
for 8 years with the short-term exception of a high/T clinical trial,( but even during the trial I stayed on
Lupron
). Anyway I’m undetectable and decided to stop
Lupron
. 3 months after not getting my shot my T is now a whopping 37.

Did you use Orgovyx with radiation, and did your Medicare Part D or Advantage plan cover it ?
Did any ROs actually advise using Orgovyx instead of
Lupron
, etc?

Enzalutamide vs Lupron Survival
This shows the main results of the EMBARK trial, comparing Metatasis Free Survival and PSA Recurrence Free Survival for three groups: Enzalutamide only,
Lupron
only, or combined Enzalutamide +
Lupron
. The best survivals were for the combination of Enzalutamide +
Lupron

Why is my RO changing from Degerelix to Lupron after a month?
my husband started ADT treatment and RO informed him that after a month he will switch to
Lupron
. Is there a reason why he is doing this? As
Lupron
I read causes depression, anxiety. And if hopefully Degerelix works why change it? Can we request he not ? TIA.

Castrate Resistant
However, for someone like me, who's been on
Lupron
only since diagnosis, am I not castrate resistant when
Lupron
fails? Without having had a second line hormone therapy?

Lupron - start with one month dose or 3 months ?
Dad , 83 , is to start with
lupron
soon. He has been on bicalutamide since two weeks. He is in good health generally and has not had heart issues apart from hypertension since many years , controlled by medicine. Doctor has advised 3 monthly
lupron
injections.

anyone takes relugolix and bitalucamide together ?
Dad was earlier prescribed
lupron
so the doc had started him on bicalutamide 100 mg a day. But then decided to go with orgovyx instead of
Lupron
. One MO says to stop the bicalutamide since starting relugolix and the other MO says to continue bicalutamide along with relugolix Any thoughts

ADT IS DONE. NEXT?
Lupron
and Zytiga will have completed 2 years of each in June. I've read some continue
Lupron
for 3 years or longer. How do you know how long to take? Monitor testosterone and PSA how often? 2 or 3 months?

Eligard injection site
I’m changing from 3 month
Lupron
to 6 month Eligard.
Lupron
has always been injected in my hip and I’m wondering if Eligard can also use the same site. Thanks in advance for your comments.
