Always need to urinate
I am 16 months post kidney transplant. I always have the need to urinate and this is affecting my life in many ways. I cannot hold my urine there is too much pain and there is always this urge to go. Sometimes I even have to go every 30 minutes. I got tested for urine infection and it was negative

Week 9 Run 3 - DONE!! This programme is so amazing. To start just over 2 months ago hardly able to get through 1 minute of running to graduating today is just blowing my mind. It’s such a sense of achievement. The health of my body and my mind is so much improved. As I’ve posted before I’m exactly a

Severe Sweating After My Kidney Transplant 3 Years Ago.
Oct 31 will be my 3-year kidney anniversary. I take 4mg of Envarsus (Tacro) and 5mg of Prednisone daily. I am doing exceptionally well except for the severe sweating that causes me to change clothing multiple times during the night and day. It happened for a while last year. The doctors did a number

Kidney failure following liver transplant
I'm now 7 weeks post transplant and my liver is working perfectly, but at clinic this week my kidney blood tests were elevated to moderate (stage 3) kidney failure. Is this common following a transplant and is it something that will improve or continue to be a concern or get worse? P.s. I am diabetic

One more to go 👍💪
I’m planning on doing my graduation run on Sunday morning. I really can’t believe I’ve got this far. Tomorrow is exactly a year since I had my kidney transplant donated by my twin sister. This time last year I couldn’t walk the length of myself and now I’ve run 5k for both of my last runs. The gradual

Dual Immunotherapy Prolongs Survival While Avoiding Chemotherapy in Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma
The randomized phase III CheckMate 743 trial breaks new ground in malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) by establishing the benefit of a chemotherapy-free regimen in patients with previously untreated disease. Brain Inflammation
Last week I completed the MIN-102 trial which concluded with an MRI. The next day I received a call from the neurologist saying there are changes from the last MRI (9/19) and what is brain inflammation. She felt it urgent enough to prompt a video visit with me and my neurologist. I got the radiologist

UPDATE ON X RAY's & CT SCANS,
Not been on for a while but I did promise an update to X Rays and CT Scans. Last August I had a COPD revue at local village surgery and Asthma Nurse spotted something she was not sure about. True my COPD flare ups had reduced but I was getting more breathless. Could not have a SPYRO as I have monthly

Would you recommend the use of sauna for someone with CKD or Kidney transplant? Any good experience?
I have been reading a lot about the benefits of infrared sauna in general about health(cardiovascular, inflammation, cognitive, hormonal). Some studies mention benefits to the kidney function (http://europepmc.org/article/MED/17267744). Before buying one I would like to know if anyone had positive results

Immunosuppressant medication
hi all. Currently taking 8miligram daily of tacrolimus and 2 500miligram of microphenolate and now being eighteen months post transplant seem to be getting side effects from them. One as I’ve previously mentioned “could be” Raynauds, but still need to tested to see if it is my meds as I do and always

new diagnosis
Hi all, I've just had the results of a recent PET scan. The cancer nurse phoned and told me it was 81% positive for lung cancer. She said they are suggesting I go for 5 sessions of Radiotherapy. I have an appointment to go see consultant on 11th August. I was just wondering if anyone else has been given

Seeking Advice and Guidance for Ascites & Cancer combo
My precious MIL (only 58 years old) is dealing with stage 4 liver cancer accompanied by ascites, and we are desperately looking for some relief for her and praying the fluid will quit filling up her abdomen as it causes so much pain and discomfort. Her body is too weak for a liver transplant and kidneys

Highly invasive lung cancer cells have longer 'fingers'.
Tiny finger-like projections called filopodia drive invasive behavior in a rare subset of lung cancer cells, researchers at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University have found. Adam Marcus’ lab has developed innovative techniques for separating “leaders” and “followers,” subpopulations of tumor
