Hand Sanitizer gel
Hi I am 2 weeks post liver transplant. Just had a thought that I am carry round Carex hand sanitiser gel which I use all the time, but just realised it contains 70% Alcohol. Is this okay to use as know you should not use mouth wash that has alcohol in it thanks

GFR levels post transplant
hi, anyone got any idea as to what their GFR level, or creatinine or urea levels in blood were 2 years onwards post Tx. I was shocked today to find my GFR is 32 and until now no one has ever uttered chronic liver disease Stage 3b. That can’t just happen over night and GFR results hasn’t been listed

worry over echo results
I am a 58 year old woman with a 3 generational history of dilated cardiomyopathy, including mother who had a heart transplant at 50 and am also a carrier of Becker muscular dystrophy, which carries an increased risk of DCM. I have an ECG and Echo every 3 years and when the results of the last echo came

Abnormal cells
hello! I’m just wanting some help on something we are quiet distressed with at the moment, My nan has been told she has lung cancer, She went for a PET Scan which showed 3 red areas (bowel, lung, spine) We were told these are abnormal cells. She’s now waiting on more tests which are weeks away

What strategies are you using to breathe easier outside in the winter.
Some here are facing their first winter with their lung cancer diagnosis. Others may still be going through treatment now and need to make the trip from the parking spot to the door as painless as possible Treatment causes injury to the lungs making it hard to breathe cold air. What do you do

post chemo radiation initial scan
Hello everyone , had my post treatment scan done on the 30th dec and yesterday was the review meeting with oncologist… they said that this scan was a very early one ( only 3 weeks post treatment ) but they needed it because of the potential for immunotherapy that needs to be started within 43 days
