How much can one body take?
As if 2 strokes in 15 months plus a double
lung
transplant
isn’t enough I have now been told I suffered a mild ( thank the Lord mild) heart attack recently which I wasn’t aware of. “Possible inferior infarct- age undetermined “ is their medical term for a myocardial arrest.

Never rains just pours….😡😡
Hopefully if positive this new addition to the family will get on well with my IPF but as long as the
lung
transplant
can proceed I’m cool. 🤪🤪 Stay safe xx

Pneumonia Vaccine for the Immunosuppressed
Good afternoon everyone, I had my pneumonia vaccine many years ago, then 5 years ago before I was placed on the
lung
transplant
list I received a further Pneumonia Vaccine which was 2017.

Bereavement and loss.
I've not been around for quite a while but thought now is the time to tell you that my husband passed away in February after his long struggle with chronic rejection of his double
lung
transplant
which he only received in June 2021.

Home Oxygen is a game changer
First and foremost, I'm still on the
lung
transplant
list and have yet to get another call since being re-added back in April. Frustrating, especially with the baby on the way, but ultimately nothing that I can do about it.

post lung transplant
I have recently been accepted on the
lung
transplant
list (November). I would value any advise/experience on the subject. I apparently have a very good blood group thus estimated waiting 50% 6 months, 80% 12 months. Thank you in advance Paul.

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the
lung
transplant
clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test!

Bronchoscopy
My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately 10 days of antibiotics were ineffective. She had a bronchoscopy today and while waiting for results, I was wondering if anybody else was in the same situation and what did the bronchoscopy show?

Rib pain after breathing test
On 22nd I took respiratory test. Ribs in area of LUNG SURGERY in 2019 are very painful upon effort; front, side, and back. I'm taking tylenol and rubbing creams with little improvement. Any one experience this after test?

Exercise post surgery
Hi, I appreciate there are other more serious matters of concern but I would just like to know what types of exercise and when you started after lung surgery. I am bored with physio and less motivated to walk everyday!

Lung cancer
Diagnosed with lung cancer very high in lung, Doctor says it's very difficult to get for biopsy, and then tells me that as I weigh 130 kg I might not be suitable for radiotherapy, is this right?

EGFR p.L747_T751de
Hi, Dad’s oncologist has stopped the Erlotinib as last scan in Jan showed tumour growth. Private Liquid biopsy result just back, mutation EGFR p.L747_T751de. No treatment offered by NHS, oncologist thinks will be more harmful to dad but how does he know for sure? I read some PubMed data that restarting
