Steroid rash
I've been taking Prednisolone for a year and have developed a red itchy steroid rash on my face. Can it be managed naturally without running off to the surgery. I use make up when I go anywhere but I wonder if that irritates it further. I am reducing my Pred. but I'm on 9mg still.

Operations after heart bypass
I am interested in knowing about anyone who has had major surgery after a heart bypass even it wasn’t related to the heart and with full anaesthetic

Done my liver resection on 14 March 2024 coz found tumour in it since 2023. Went through Y90 treatment to shrink the tumour. Doc removed the tumour via keyhole with a drainage wound. After the op, stayed in hospital for 7 days till I’m stable and independent enough to walk on my own so wouldn’t be

No to Lansoprazole
Well my GP is not prepared to issue me a prescription for Lansoprazole as she says my results from the endoscopy having been on esomeprazole for now over 3 and a half years prove that it is effective and 30mg Lansoprazole may not be so . She is willing to reconsider if the GI consultant says different

Final tree planted 🌳
80% there and I'm still plodding along. Since deciding to change my timescale, I'm feeling a lot less under pressure which is making me feel more relaxed, and that's great. I'm back in the GP surgery tomorrow afternoon. Still feeling utterly pants and into my fourth week of this latest respiratory

Alternative to Naproxen
Good morning all, hope you are coping well. I recently had surgery for Spinal Stenosis in my lower back, but on coming out of hospital developed a dvt in my leg. Due to this blood clot I have been put on Rivaroxaban (blood thinners). Because of this blood thinner I have had to come off of Naproxen (

GI Report and recommedations
Ok so I have the written report from the GI consultant which thank goodness is overall very reassuring. Advice now at recommends continued treatment with dietary changes, frequent and small meals, no spicy and nothing 3-4 hours prior to bedtime. Although in all honesty laying down is not a major issue

My experience at "Older Persons" clinic....
Was seen very quickly for bp and weight...bp always very high at any surgery......it was 180/80......it:s 150/70 at home...Anyway was then called in to see the doctor.......she talked about my bp and dizziness/balance....and everything according to her is because of steroids!......she more or less said

Remission but suddenly extreme night sweats
I received the good news that I am in complete remission......no cancer cells in my blood.... but unfortunately I was just diagnosed with Gastritis due to the Venetoclax and Aciclovir. It's very painful but after stopping all my cancer medication the stomach pains and diarrhoea are easing off. But

vitamin deficiencies
I had most of my sigmoid removed because of diverticulitis five years ago. My question is my surgeon said that it should not affect my vitamin or mineral intake because the sigmoid doesn’t involve that. Got on finding that it most certainly does I get a B12 injection because I’m a vegetarian so that

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my Eliquis for several days prior to having surgery on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for surgery and had AF without it causing a stroke?

Waiting for results after Hysterectomy
Hello everyone, I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy ( with conservation of ovaries) at the beginning of this month. I am 40 years old. I had fully expected the surgery to find Endometriosis however there wasn't any. I am now waiting on the pathology test results on what was removed. I am wondering

disappointed with symptoms still after 2 surgeries :(
I’ve recently had 2 surgeries, one in January where they removed a small amount of endo and then a more complex surgery 4 weeks after with a specialist endo surgeon. I’m now 5 weeks post op and still suffering. I think my period might be due soon but not sure as the surgeries had messed things up a bit
