Well my GP is not prepared to issue me a prescription for Lansoprazole as she says my results from the endoscopy having been on esomeprazole for now over 3 and a half years prove that it is effective and 30mg Lansoprazole may not be so .
She is willing to reconsider if the GI consultant says different but thinks that it would be a mistake to change.
I can see her point if there is no benefit from Lansoprazole and I am able to manage with it then I guess stick with it.
Endoscopy showed only minor gastric damage and no other issues, so it must be doing something to contain the hiatus hernia which is sliding 3cm. She also more or less ruled out surgery.
40mg per day . I am going to start taking the full dose in the morning though as I find splitting it with 20mg first thing and 20mg later I am looking to use Gaviscon to supplement throughout the day
Just want to be able to get on with day to day life now .
