Waiting for results after Hysterectomy

Hello everyone,

I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy ( with conservation of ovaries) at the beginning of this month. I am 40 years old. I had fully expected the surgery to find Endometriosis however there wasn't any.

I am now waiting on the pathology test results on what was removed. I am wondering if I could have Adenomyosis now, which is why I am posting on this community. If it isn't Adenomyosis, what else could it be? My symptoms for the past 3 years have been heavy bleeding, pelvic pain and painful intercourse/pain on going to the toilet. In the past 6 months, the pain on my bowel has been horrendous. I had a Colonoscopy in January, but nothing was found inside the bowel.

Can anyone offer any guidance or support? I have had a little bleeding in recent days and I am not sure if this is to be expected or if I should be worried.

Thanks in advance
