I am interested in knowing about anyone who has had major surgery after a heart bypass even it wasn’t related to the heart and with full anaesthetic

Operations after heart bypass
Hi! I’m keen to hear of anyone else’s experiences too. I’ve unfortunately developed an umbilical hernia since my O.H.S last June, which the Consultant believes occurred when I was so physically sick for the first couple of days post op, whilst in I.C.U.
I have been told I’d need a general anaesthetic and the surgery wouldn’t be key hole - albeit quite simple to do and only a short operation. However, because of my heart and my various post-op complications - he currently won’t touch me with a barge pole. So am now having to be super careful, as cannot afford for it to strangulate, present at A & E, sit in a corridor for hours and be admitted as an emergency. Unfortunately stuck firmly between a rock and a hard place.
Am hoping to speak to my Cardiologist for her opinion, but suspect she’ll say my heart needs to get better before contemplating more surgery.
Thank you for your reply and I sympathise with your situation . You must be under so much stress. I just wondered if there were people who had been operated on without keyhole surgery, I’ve been told I may need surgery sometime . My husband and son had operations for hernias and both said it was quick and effective. Good luck and hope you find someone who can help you
Hi, 5 months to the date after my triple bypass I had 2 breast cancer ops within two days of each other under general anaesthetic. Prior to the breast surgery I had a follow up with my heart surgeon who was happy to sign off on the procedure.
Wishing you all the best! 💞🙏
