Gadgets
I think this is all the gadgets I have acquired since I cut back on carbohydrates. My favourite and the most used is the mortar and pestle (the world's original gadget?). I use it almost every day, and sometimes stroke it when I walk past. It's beautiful. The most essential is the hand blender

'Interesting' Endo Appointment Yesterday!!
So, my much awaited endocrinologist appointment finally came yesterday. I took my husband with me, as he has a far more science based brain than me, and can remember all the articles I've given him to read (I read and can't seem to retain information these days. Anyway, I had printed out all my thyroid

If not Albutrix then what?
I'm considering giving this very
low
(veg)
protein
diet
+ keto supplement a whirl to see whether it has an effect on the numbers. Lee Hull has his keto supplement Albutrix with the selling point being its low calcium as well as low nitrogen. But it doesn't appear to be cheap at $179 a month.

Protein Shakes.. Are they safe for the Liver and Kidneys?
I joined a gym today and was wondering if it is safe to have a whey protein shake after workouts? Will it put extra strain on my liver? Anyone with experience , can you please shed some light on the topic and maybe also share what brand of shakes they are having! Thanks in Advance!

I’m new here amd confused!
I was diagnosed type2 diabetes last September and advised to reduce carbs. I’ve bought an Apple Watch and try to use my fitness pal to help. I’ve steadily increased my walking to 10000 steps daily and my calorie intake to around 12,00 , I am 4’11.5 inches . The low carb diets seems to be high fat and

Asthma misdiagnosis. Could it be heart issues? Any advice would be great 😊☺️
Hi everyone! I am twenty years of age. For as long as I can remember, I have always hated exercising. This is because I have always struggled to breathe properly, when exercising. As a young child, I quickly grew to despise going on family walks, because of this. It was suspected I could have asthma

Belated thanks for your wonderful advice re Vitamin levels and Gluten-free diet.
Hello, at the beginning of this year I was feeling awful..still. Very low TSH and my GP practice were requesting that I reduce my dose to 75mcg of Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. You gave me excellent advice, not for the first time...this time I listened better! Have been using a certain Vitamin D

Slowly but surely.
Was just getting used to impared breathing due to the hot weather. When my on the phone review came up. So now, just finished four days steroids. 6 tablets every morning. Didn't have any real effect for two days and then felt a lot better but now struggling again. I suppose it's all those chores I had

A bit of (topical) fun, What’s your favourite LCHF menu…..
So you can have a starter, main course and a pudding (if you eat pudding… or another savoury course if you don’t - but something you think would lend itself to eating after dinner). What are your favourite dishes, be specific, so don’t say cheese board, list the varieties of cheese please and say what

No luck....
4 weeks ago I was a 49 year old vegan weighing 12 st 12lbs. Then I went LCHF and now I’m a 49 year old vegetarian weighing in 12st 12lbs. The only change is that I am now constipated and I really hate the look of eggs! Did something wrong here I think🥺

Low Carb or Calories
I would like to ask a question in the hope that someone has a scientific answer. The questIon is not about giving up processed food and sugar, which regardless of which diet you follow, is damaging to our health. I’ve lost 17lbs on a mixture of low carb, fasting and calorie counting and for me I think
