Belated thanks for your wonderful advice re Vitamin levels and Gluten-free diet.

Hello, at the beginning of this year I was feeling awful..still. Very low TSH and my GP practice were requesting that I reduce my dose to 75mcg of Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism. You gave me excellent advice, not for the first time...this time I listened better! Have been using a certain Vitamin D supplement ( know we shouldn’t advertise, but this one has been involved in trials with Queen Mary University, UK). Ignoring RDA, taking 1600 IU, as my Vitamin D levels had been right at the lowest end of range). Also using a ‘melt under the tongue’ Vit B12, B6 and folic acid supplement. I also stopped eating gluten. The change has been astonishing. I have stopped suffering discomfort and pain throughout the alimentary tract; have more energy; hardly any headaches; I sleep better and my awful hot flushes have slowed markedly. Best of all, depression has lifted.

About three times a week I use a magnesium cream on legs before bed.

Your help has made life worth living again. I am on 75 mcg Levothyroxine ( down from 100/75 on alternate days), but haven’t had the lethargy, constipation, depression nor sleep issues I expected.

Many thanks.

Good to hear you’re making progress…..it’s ALWAYS worth trying strictly gluten free diet

Did you also try NOT having Teva brand?

Or possibly Teva suits you best …..?

Teva is only brand that makes 75mcg tablets
