What is the difference between spirometry and peak flow?
Had a phone consultation with my surgery’s asthma nurse this morning. She has decided to put me down for spirometery when they start doing it again. Mainly I think because I told her that back at Christmas time when I had a horrendous virus - sure it was covid but we didn't really know about it then

Keeping crackers fresh
Hi all, I'm new here. Had a heart attack in April and consequently decided to reduce my weight (14st7lbs, BMI 30). I went from not eating much, to low carb (but consuming oats like I was told to), to LCHF without grains about 10 days ago. I'm down to 12st, BMI 25, plan to drop another stone or so. My

Migraines and lethargy 2 years into Levothyroxine. Blood test results
I have been getting headaches that have turned into migraines and generally feel in
low
energy and
mood
. I have run for years, but that is now making me exhausted and results in worse headaches. I asked for my T3 to be tested but they have not done so.

Diagnosis by Exclusion?
I have Diverticular, diagnosed by colonoscopy, but also extreme bowel habits. Tried Laxido, Movicol, Loperamide etc etc but as they don't work immediately, it's hard to self medicate, Virtually housebound, look like I'm 9 months pregnant and often in pain. Is this IBS as other things have been ruled

Following on from my previous post about cream: https://healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet/posts/144145897/is-cream-a-good-lchf-food-as-part-of-a-balanced-diet I have been eating four jacket potatoes a day as a cost-effective way to keep my weight up. Double cream can be as cheap as £2/600ml (Waitrose)...

Good riddance Week 7
Between migraine, period pain and
low
mood
I really struggled with this one and it’s taken me 8 days to complete. Anyway, I did it! 🙂 New running shoes arrived - first pair were too small - so wore them today. Now I’ve spent money on them I’d better make sure I use them so mustn’t give up.

How to Strengthen the mussels controlling the excretions ?
I am 71 Type 2 since 2000 kept under control and strictly following LCHF since 2014. It is felt, since of late, the mussels controlling the excretions are not functioning well as they used to. While lying down in bed when you feel the need to go to the toilet, it leaves hardly any time when you stand
