Hi everyone when I started LCHF eating plan ( low carbs high fat) in May this year I had a BMI of 56 and I was classed as morbidly obese.
Today my hubby just did my BMI again and it’s 46.9 I’m now in the class of obese.
I no I have a long way to go my goal is 10 stone, but for me I’m so pleased.
Being on this forum has helped me so much. I’ve met so many lovely people who have given me so much praise which I believe has helped me to achieve this amazing 4 stone 4lb loss so far.
Thank you to all of you that have helped me on this forum 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Like you, I’ll stick to BMI thanks - mine is 27 - I would describe myself as a bit fat - but apparently my RFM is 34! I’m 5’2 and my waist is 30 inches, which is under half my height - so I’m not impressed by the RFI reading. Anyway it’s ridiculous- how can you tell from just your height and waist measurement how much fat you are carrying on your backside 😄
Thank you. That’s very true I just felt it would be nice for some people to see how my BMI is coming down my first goal is 10 stones so I’m almost half way.🌹
According to the chart I linked, RFM/body-fat 34 is in the middle of the healthy range for females over 60, and the top end of the "healthy" range for females 40-59. If you are 20-39, to get into the "healthy" range you only have to drop your RFM by one (or get older).
I am old, male, tall and muscular - and all four of these factors makes the conventional BMI advice indicate I was too fat until recently. I have lost 5½ stone.
4 stone 4 llbs. If my reckoning is right that is 70 lbs or 35 bags of sugar. Truly impressive, weight loss in 5 months. Bet you knees are delighted as well. Keep us all posted, you will be an inspiration to many people on this site. Good news all round.
