Low carb and over medicated?
I’ve been trying a low carb diet for the last 8 weeks and have lost about 6kilos but I’ve started feeling slightly shaky/anxious with more rapid mood swings, exhaustion and the odd palpitation. I’m waiting on the results of my blood test, but has anyone else noticed this on low carb? Could I now be over

Feeling scared and sad
I have been in a quite
low
mood
. I went to see the Cardiologist, face to face consultation, which is very hard to get with the today’s circumstances, and he told me that there isn’t anything else to do with my heart.

The only symptoms I’ve had is back in July when my TSh was 9..I was
low
in
mood
, brain fog and couldn’t concentrate. I feel fine now with no symptoms. SlowDragon kindly gave me good advice a couple of weeks ago and told me to have my vitamin levels checked. I would also welcome any other advice.

Just learning ..
Hi another question from me as I’m new to this, hope everyone is well. I’m not seeing the GP til the 26th so just thought I’d ask some more advice. My Gp has given me a peak flow meter, prednisolone for 7 days and a ventolin inhaler. I predominately spoke about shortness of breath in the first appointment

Uniphyllin side effects
Hi, I’ve just been taking Uniphyllin Continus for a week -200mg am and pm. It seems to have finally stabilised my peak flow but the side effects are a real pain. About an hour after I take it (excuse the details) I get diarrhoea for 2 or 3 hours! I’ve tried taking it on an empty stomach, taking it after

LCHF guide for newbies
While we often point people in the direction of DietDoctor, a lot of newbies have asked over the years "Where's the diet plan?". After months of procrastination (and throwing a whole bunch of waffle into the Recycle Bin) I've put together a short document which I think does the job. It's modelled on

Difficult to explain / describe to lay people, it is not tiredness, it’s like being absolutely pooped and
low
mood
too. Difficult to turn over or even move in bed sometimes, nights very much disturbed, poor deep sleep. Sometimes wake in the night feeling I have been hit like a bus!

Hi I have just joined this Asthma forum, hope all are well. Just wondering if anybody has any advice please. Apologies if it’s a silly question😊. I have had breathlessness especially on exertion for a few months now, possibly post Covid symptoms from May. (I got a tight chest now and then before that

Flovent side effects
Has anyone else experienced chest tightness after taking Flovent ? I feel like my lungs are irritated after taking it and since stopping my peak flow has improved. I also felt like it was making me anxious. Thanks

Am I underplaying this?
Hello lovely people I’m not quite sure how I feel (except I’m back on steroids so - excuse the language )- ever so slightly ‘whizzing my tits off’. And this post may be a bit random but I’m wondering if I’m underplaying my symptoms? My personal best PF is 550. Last few weeks I dropped to 440 so changed

11 years and no diagnosis, doctor won’t do laparoscopy because I’m overweight.
My
mood
is so
low
lately because I just feel like nobody will help me. I’ve tried to lose weight but it’s impossible to exercise when you are in agony and feel so nauseas all the time.

Is anyone else on 2 puffs of duo resp twice a day?
I was diagnosed ŵith asthma about 18 years ago after a bout of wheezy bronchitis. I was left with a cough. I was given various treatment and am now on duo resp. steroid inhaler. I always feel like I’ve been misdiagnosed though, because whenever I need to see a doctor when I feel breathless, my peak

Has anyone tried Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for RLS?
Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum and have suffered with RLS for 50 years - but it has become a lot worse in the last 5 years. I have read with interest lots of posts regarding different treatments. I'm not at the stage where I want to take a powerful medication permanently so tried the Iron supplements

Metastatic breast cancer patients - what's your diet? Do you have any examples of actual recipes to make?
I've read a LOT on the best type of diets - I have my mom (diagnosed in the fall of 2018, bone-only mets) on a plant-based diet, no dairy, no gluten, and low carb. We're having difficulty actually finding recipes and new things to make, so wanted to know if any of you could point me towards some resources
