The amazing Kidney
I’m a senior citizen with stage 3B chronic kidney disease. My kidneys were damaged when I was eight years old. Unlike most with CKD, I am not diabetic. It seems that a plant based low protein diet is the only known way to maintain what’s left of my kidney function so I’m always looking for diet information

Week4 Run3
Completed run 3 yesterday, really enjoyed the run and tried running the first two segments slower so that I could pick up the pace on the last two run segments, I did achieve that, but it made very little difference to my overall time, I think my asthma is improving, but I have been a bit more vigilant

it feels like I'll never get better
Hi! I've had constant air hunger every day since June. During my early teens, I was diagnosed with asthma caused by cats. I got prescribed Ventolin which I used when in contact with cats, it helped. I never had any other issues with asthma. As I was young, the allergy tests only confirmed me being

Inspiration
This is a photo of me after 9 months on ADT, age 70. I’ve always tried to stay in good shape. Jack LaLane inspired me as a kid in the early 1960’s. Later inspired by Larry Scott, Arnold, Lou and others. I built muscle naturally, no steroids. As my testosterone naturally decreased in my late 50’

Struggling with PMR and Pred
Hello, am newish in the group. Just updated my bio with my story and how I ended up where I am. I have had PMR like symptoms since around 2003, that seem to flare for a few months and then goes back to being just about liveable with for a while when self medicating with ibuprofen, before flaring

Steroids not working?
I’ve just had a 5 day rescue course of prednisolone due to an asthma flare. However, my peak flow is still only about 70% and I have an itchy, scratchy throat and cough. I don’t actually have a cold so I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve never had a course of steroids before where it hasn’t made me completely

Despair at not being helped
Long story. Diagnosed mild bronchiectasis 2010. Regular OP follow up till 2017 in local hospital and regional immunology clinic till 2021. Also have IgA deficiency and auto immune arthritis. Exacerbation since June 2023 and still coughing loads sputum every day. Sputum tests have shown lots of infection

New blood results are confusing - what to do?
Still Hypo symptoms of
low
energy/
mood
, dry itchy skin, cold extremities, stiff/achey but try to walk about 30 minutes daily (not so much in snow!) and I am less totally exhausted but not well really. Lost about 5lbs during first month on Armour, now at a plateau, overweight by at least 20lbs.

Some support please
I'm 1 week away from next injeciton and symptoms of muscles aching, pain, fatigue, and
low
mood
are back. Know they will go away again but it's hard. I keep up a normal life and feel those around me don't really get it. I feel alone at times like this. Words from those who get it may help.

Feeling worse
Hi, now on 50 Levo and my breathing is worse and my
mood
has really been
low
. Is it just because its only been 3 days on 50? Do i just ride it out for a while? I was feeling so positive but now rather distraught as the prospect of it not working.

Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis
