Well controlled 74 year old Asthmatic on Relvar Ellipta. Recently became ill whilst on holiday in Sunny Spain. Peak flow down to 350 normally 550 night of return to UK. Seen in respiratory clinic day after peak flow improved to 425 crackles on lung prescribed Antibiotics and 40mg prednisolone for 5 days. Surprised clinic didn't do COVID test. Had to buy some tests and was positive. Couldn't register positive result on NHS website as tests were bought. Told GP practice I had COVID but said they didn't record any more! Decided to carry on taking Antibiotics and Prednisolone after looking at literature, peak flow back up to 500 still feel rough but hanging in. Know locally of big clusters of COVID but hopefully mild cases nowadays post vaccine.

I hope you make a speedy recovery. There does not seem to be any protocol for testing or reporting covid. It certainly seems it is on a rise.
