Omeprazole, T3 & acid issues-advice appreciated
G.P. wants to prescribe me Omeprazole (
Losec
) as having some issues with pain in stomach area near bottom of left rib. This has been going on since Dec last year and I have had little success controlling it via diet by restricting or cutting out various food/drinks.

Asthma/Reflux/Shortness of Breath question
So I've been put on a short course of
losec
to see if it helps my asthma symptoms since normal asthma meds aren't. How long would the medication work to help settle symptoms? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Losec
I have been put on
Losec
for my reflux, which is particularly bad at night, but I am finding that it is making my IBS C much worse. As most will understand a fibre supplement only makes the bloating and pain worse. Anyone else find this with
Losec
and if so what did you do, please?

Gastric signs and anorexia
Initially, I was put on
Losec
because the doctors thought I had gastritis. My scope showed mild gastritis. However, I wasn't responding to
Losec
and my appetite became smaller and smaller.

Taking Mg and Losec
How can you takes magnesium effectively if you also need to take
Losec
(Omeprazole)? I understand the
Losec
prevents absorbtion of Mg. We are encouraged to increase Mg intake to help the AF. Any ideas folks? Your help/thoughts would be much appreciated. Alan

How safe are heartburn medications and who should use them?
Proton pump inhibitors (known in Australia by names such as Nexium, Pariet,
Losec
, Somac and Zoton) work by preventing key pumps in the cells of the stomach that produce stomach acid from working.

Just to introduce myself
At present I'm on anatriptline, zomorph, neproxin,
losec
, pregabaline, cyclizine to name a few and I'm still in pain 95% of the time I have my first pain clinic appointment next week and with fingers crossed hoping they will sort this amount of medication out as I feel like a pill popper.

Warfarin 5/6mg to Rivaroxaban 20mg in 2 weeks/subject to INR being OK
Warfarin side effects have been bothersome over 3 years despite stable INR, between 2.2 and 2.5 I recently stopped
Losec
/ Omeprazol over last three months, to see if this caused problems but still have all the side effects with joint pain, vision, numb feet etc..

Help, has anyone else got mental health problems and RA? Causing medication problems.
Unfortunately now the Naproxen is causing stomach problems and I cannot tolerate
Losec
either. If I have to give up NSAIDs as well I won't be able to get out of bed in the mornings as that is when the pain is at it's worst. Please can anyone else relate to these problems or maybe have any ideas?

More on Magnesium
There is no doubt there has been a great increase in this condition, resulting in a great many patients having to take acid blockers such as
Losec
to control this symptom.

Join me in a nice cup of tea?
(My emphasis) Those of us with anaemia, particularly if we are taking medication to reduce stomach acid (e.g. proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole (
Losec
/Maxor, etc) should note the suggestion to avoid drinking tea with meals and likewise those of us needing regular blood transfusions

Hi there, I am new here and just wanted to ask a few questions…
I thought it was the acid reflux but even the
Losec
is not helping anymore?? I take meds the DR gave me but again only temporary relief - Ginger helps a little. The amount of Preg tests I have taken because I wake up feeling sick! And the constant peeing before and during my period – grrrr!

Is anyone on this regime?
Losec
. Lexapro. Prednisone. Micardis. Ostilin..ferra-grad C. Codeine Phosphate. If you know of this combination or parts of it, does it go up and up, or does it plateau. Is there any remission with Systemic Vasculitis? Any help would be warmly welcomed.
