Good day fellow brothers and sufferers. This is my first post and my story. I am in the UK, so all of my treatment, whatever it entails is totally free of charge, so cost has no part to play in my treatment choice. I am 68 years old. In February 2018 I had a routine PSA – came back at 4.8ng/ml UK units

Has anyone had to go off NDT and back on T4 only...?
About a week ago, I went off NDT and back on T4 only, after developing a host of strange symptoms in recent months: intense carb cravings and weight gain, intense itching, dry, flaky skin, racing heart, hair loss and heat and exercise intolerance being the most noticeable ones. I have gained 25 kilograms

Adding Casodex (Bicalutamide) a good idea ?
I’d like to ask this community about the wisdom of adding Casodex to standard ADT. Background: Dx Feb 2018, PSA 168; multiple mets to bones. Firmagon monthly Feb - Nov switched to 3 monthly Dipherelin in Nov. 6 rounds of Docetaxel Apr - Jul. PSA nadir 0.4 in Aug. rose slightly to 0.64 by Mar 2019

Diabetes now
Hi everyone, my latest news is! My doctor told me yesterday, because I was sick and tired of being treated like a baby, I asked him what he was doing about my result from sleep apnea test, he said he was going to be treating me for type 2 diabetes first, the most urgent. My blood gas test, said

Okra (Bhendi) water
From past 1 month i am drinking this sticky water of okra after 20 min of every meal and i have noticed that my pps levels have come down considerably. I cut 4 okra into small slices and squeeze is in 150 ml water and drink it. Even after taking metformin my pps was 190 -200. I used to take 1000mg

Help needed for metformin
I'm one of those who got late onset diarrhea and lots of weight loss on metformin. I seem to still have it with the XR version. I'm very distressed at the thought of giving up on it and saw a reference to taking a GLP-1 drug to counteract the diarrhea. https://www.healthline.com/health-news/why-so-many-people-with-diabetes-stop-taking-metformin

Diabetes Type 2 finally.
Have mentioned this in a reply to another post. Today my doctor has prescribed me Metformin to address my blood sugar levels. I have tried (not massively but I have tried) to address my insulin resistant body but to no avail. I am sick and tired of saying to myself, you can't have that, you shouldn't

Metformin - A Cheap Diabetes Drug Shows Potential as a Life-Extension Therapy
Myers had me on Metformin for off-label PCa purposes. Looks like it is good for all that ails you. Important to note: the medical community isn’t convinced of the drug’s anti-aging benefits — and there’s a chance no one will conduct the human research needed to help them make up their minds, leaving

Amenorrhea over 2.5 years
Hello. I'm posting here on behalf of my almost 18 year old daughter. She started menstruating two days before her 12th birthday. She has pretty much only had a couple hard periods in her life, otherwise, a light bleeder. She started running cross country and track for her middle and then high school

Whoopppeee! Back to normal thanks to diet and you guys!
I was diagnosed prediabetic about a year ago, put on low dose of Metformin and also a moderate Keto diet, thanks largely to advice on this forum as well as my nurse. I had a blood test at six months in and had managed to improve and come one step away from prediabetic instead of becoming diatbetic. Now

Help! Lean PCOS and IVF not working
Morning everyone. As the title suggests I am very confused! History: IVF 1 Nov 17: 20 eggs, 11 fertilised, 2 blasts. Freeze all. Both BFN Hubby diagnosed with DNA fragmentation IVF (ICSI) 2 Nov 18: 6 mature eggs, 3 fertilised, no blasts. The cycle was a complete mess and nearly cancelled - I consider
