Immunizations galore
My haemo has me set up to get a shingles shot and two pneumonia shots, because of my immune system being potentially lower due to the hydroxyurea. Public health nurse says I should also get a meningitis vaccination and an updated tetanus shot. All this before I even get my annual flu shot in the fall

I am halfway to my goal to get off Mirapex (every two weeks I cut 1/4 of a .5mg pill so I am now at .75mg). I have started LDN (began with 1ml and every 10 days I add .5ml so I am now at 2.5ml). I also add a toke of mj before bed. And I have been taking herbals to get rid of SIBO. I don't know if it

Chronic Urosepsis ? Will I survive ....
I believe I have chronic urosepsis... the GP believes there is no such thing ?! The NHS seems to think if you have disability it found in 1969 , it can pretend it is of no consequence in your online record especially if over 65 female with no urinary symptons forget the others such as neurogenic

Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, and RLS any med suggestions?
Does anyone have a suggestion for meds to help fibromyalgia? I weaned off ropinirole and am not currently taking any meds for RLS. I tried Wellbutrin for anxiety/depression but had horrible nightmares. I am now taking Lexapro which I know is on the do not take with RLS list, but I felt I had no other

just diagnosed with Tourette's how does that fit in with possible FND?
I did an eeg and they told after a few days of testing that I don't have epilepsy but I do have Tourette's. Can you have both Tourette's and FND? How do these diagnoses fit in with each other?

Hashimoto Encephalopathy
Has anyone in the group been diagnosed with Hashimoto Encephalopathy? My daughter has Hashimoto and recently had an EEG and they detected she was having myoclonic seizures. I was wondering if treatment for the seizures also helped with Hashimoto symptoms.

Recovery from bacterial Meningitis.
Recovery from Baterial Meningitis. My husband is recovering from BM. It is very stressful not to understand what the after effects are. He has only been out of the hospital for 2 months. He had surgery to remove a pain pump that had gotten infected. The drs thought they removed it before the infection

A retired GP!
I too am a retired GP, and knew very little about RLS until I had it and began to read about it. It started very mildly in My 30s and gradually became very severe. My son, who is a consultant neurologist in Oxford, suggested I start on Premipexine, which was the accepted treatment at that time, and it

Transcutaneous electrical stimulation unit
Has anybody had a chance to use a TENS unit? Transcutaneous electrical stimulation does something to the muscles which is supposed to help with pain of all kinds. I've got one on right now and it definitely does something to the restless, horrible, creepy feeling but I'm not sure if I'll be able to

How do you keep busy mentally, physically, socially etc... to help manage loneliness, self-worth?
This has been a big test of of character I’m sure for all of us. I’ve tried to find ways to stay active mentally and all other ways to beat depression, loneliness and self-worth! What do you do on good days? On bad days? On good days, I try and do the things I love! I listen to music, sing along!

Unable to sleep
Hello friends. Poor sleep quality is getting to me. I go to bed tired but am unable to get off to sleep for hours...Last night I only had about one hour. The quality of sleep is also not the same. It's a very superficial sort of sleep, unsatisfying and restless. I take 13 mg of pred in the morning and

Horrible Leg pain following Rituxan
Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with increased pain following their Rituxan infusions? I am in excruciating pain from my groin to my toes on the right side and my muscles are stiff. I don’t know what it is. I’ve taken my Tylenol ER, BC Arthritis, Dexamethasone today and nothing

Opioids
I have been off pramipexole for close to two weeks. Then my (new) neurologist started me on carbadopa levodopa which caused extreme anxiety so only took for 4 days. I’m totally miserable. I am wondering what opioids are used and how much. I’m trying to gather information for doctors. Also, does

Lyme's Disease
I have just been reading about Lyme's disease and the controversy about whether it could become a chronic disease if not diagnosed early. A lot of the symptoms overlap with autoimmune disease. I thought this was interesting. The biggest problems with infected ticks occur in The Highlands of Scotland
