methadone and shortness of breath
Hi all, Apologize in advance for length of this post. I've had RLS for since my early 40s and spent about 14 years on DA drugs. A not unusual story with augmentation and switching over to pregabalin about 3 years ago- but the pregabalin not being entirely effective for symptoms. At that time I was

up coming urology procedure and sick day rules?
i am waiting to have laser surgery with general anaesthetic on a benign prostate problem shortly. I am successfully reducing my pred for PMR for the second time in 3 and half years from 10 to 7.5 currently and taking it very slowly. Do I follow the sick day rules when having this procedure and if so

Treatment of RLS with Pramipexole
I was diagnosed with RLS about 6 months ago. My consultant prescribed Ropinirole but after reading adverse comments about it , I told my GP I did not want to take it and I am now taking 300mg of pregabalin twice per day. Unfortunately my symptoms are not improving . My GP has now prescribed Pramipexole

Ringworm skin problems
I have been suffering from ringworm for about a year. They are mostly near the side of the cheek, near the beard and near the ear. I have used many medicines and creams, but when I stop the medicine, it comes out again. How to stop at once?

RLS under anesthesia
Has anyone had RLS while under anesthesia ? I didn't know it would be possible but my Dr told my husband I was probably a secret opioid addict because my legs were twitching a lot during the procedure...... 1. I don't take opioids. Even when I tried them for RLS years ago it didn't really work and

Paying for Horizant
Arbor Pharmaceuticals, the maker of Horizant, has a patient assistance program. If you're in the US you could be paying $55 a month (plus shipping) by applying to them directly. You can be on Medicare and still get this benefit. None of the cost is reimbursable by Medicare or any other insurance program

Ropinirole
I’ve been on 3.5 milligrams of Ropinirole for about 4 years now but my RLS is getting much worse- legs and arms. Even though I take it throughout the day and am very active I cannot sit down and take a rest without the RLS kicking in. I am fortunately getting some sleep. Should I switch to pregabalin

sometimes I wonder weather restless leg syndrome is induced by a traumatic experience in earlier life. The fight or flight response that is constantly on overdrive! Never being able to relax…. Very dry mouth
Since Covid in October 2022 I have had a dry mouth with a sore tongue and sore roof of mouth. I am now thinking it is nothing to do with Covid but maybe related to Mercury thyroxine? I have struggled for years trying to find a brand that agrees with me, ever since the original Eltroxin I by Glaxo disappeared

Statins & Steroids
I’ve been advised to take statins due to high cholesterol levels of 7.0, Serum triglycerides 2.3, HDL 2.5, HDL ratio 2.8, LDL 3.4, non HDL 4.5. I’m reluctant to take more meds but I’m unclear of the meaning of all the results and if I should take statins or not. I’ve read some articles stating that

Buprenorphine patch failure. Now very few med options left.
I have PLMD only. It wakes me 3 to 4 times a night and continues until I walk it off. As with many (most?) of you, my sleep architecture is wrecked. In my case I haven't had a continuous night's sleep for 13 years. So, after regimes of Clonazepam, Baclofen, Ropinirole, Gabapentin (twice) and Pregabalin

Newbie here, tests/symptoms suggest PA or AAG
Hi everyone. My medical adventures have been ongoing for years but, like many others, I have struggled to find a definitive diagnosis for my symptoms. My spouse is the only person I've shared all this with. He's been by my side and supportive throughout numerous doctors shrugging their shoulders — and

cellulitis
I have cellulitis in my right arm, post operative lymphoedema ( 9 years ago) first time. Swelling, heaviness and pain don’t seem to be getting any better after a week of antibiotic. Wondered if there is anything else I can do to get rid of it. Awaiting an appointment with the clinic but no idea when

Ropinirole and Pregablin
Hi first post I am so glad I have found this site it has helped me in a big way in my fight against RLS. My doctor has very limited knowledge of RLS At one time I was on 8 mg of Ropinirole extended release with no pregabalin, my doctor knew this was over the recommended dose of 6 mg but decided

Buprenorphine Naloxone dose
Hello again! I have had RLS for most of my life. I was taking 6mg Pramipexol per day until given better advice here on the site. I used 100 MG of Tramadol per day and in 18 months managed to cut down to .25mg Pramipexol. Then I got stuck and couldn't cut down any more. I found a Neurologist who prescribed

Carnivore diet and ketogenic diet is reportedly reversing many conditions. Can we heal our bodies with our diets.
I do not know if I actually have restless legs syn drome, but for years I have had involuntary leg movements every day, all day. I have jerking and muscle tension that is very uncomfortable and exhausting. I am not certain if it is the side effects of restoril, I take to sleep, or temazapam, that was
