More test results to understand
As previously noted, I have had no identified symptoms, although since being diagnosed in 2019, my
LDL
cholesterol has risen from 3.1 to 4 in the first year and then stabilised and I have developed chronic peripheral neuropathy (confirmed with NCS and EMG tests).

Adding calcium in order to strengthen bones
They also want me to take double dose statins, although my
LDL
is 2.9 (EU number) and calcium readings are normal. Question: Does calcium supplements strengthen the bones or just makes things worse when it comes to calcification of the heart and other vessels?

Statins with an under active thyroid.
Because my
LDL
is elevated, the doctor decided I needed to see a specialist. They won't give me an appointment and have said I need to take a statin while they get to me. The NHS website says you don't give statins to people with an under active thyroid.

Blood test results - assuming Hypo?
Hello this is my first time posting on here. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos due to high antibodies probably 10ish years ago. I've had hypo symptoms in all that time but have never been medicated as my GP insists everything has been normal. I've been having recurring vertigo recently and at an ENT

NIH visit and Richters discussion
As some of you have posted about previously, today I also entered the NIH natural history study for CLL. The visit was good, efficient and pretty painless. Getting on the campus was straightforward only requiring a driver's license and a pre-registration with the CLL team that was seen by security.

Just diagnosed. Pretty confused
I was just diagnosed last week. Wbc of 14 and alc of 8.8 - no symptoms or lymphadenopathy. My tests were just completed and everything seemed very favorable except one thing. The good was low ldh (138), low B2M (1.79), low CRP (.05mg/dl), only 13q14 deletion on FISH (everything else normal on that

Impact of Statins
I've been taking 80mg Atorvastin for 5 months - I had a blood test 2 months prior to starting and just had another test this week: I'm particularly pleased with the reduction in
LDL
and the increase in HDL.

New symptoms need attention ??
Hi greetings to everyone. I was Dx two years ago per the only one test of Flow Cytometry, still in W&W, seeing GP and hematologist/oncologist every three months. In my last visit to the clinic on July 3, the NP found two more larger lymph nodes about 1/2 inch in diameter under my chins. Since then

Hello Just been diagnosed with moderate right carotid atherosclerosis. Started statins and prescribed aspirin and omeprazole. Just had 70th birthday. The aspirin is 75mg and enteric coated. I would prefer not to take omeprazole if I dont have to. Isn’t this the point of enteric coated? I dont drink
