Hello everyone, I found this forum two months ago when my Gp was pushing me to start cholesterol lowering drugs even though i tried to battle it with my weightloss. I really could not understand what is my body doing, why are my levels increasing ( 8.2 was my total count)I started to search everywhere, i started to buy supplements to help me lower it and I nearly killed myself ;-) as I was taking all my supplements together with my Eltroxin and they were contradicting with each other, my body was not getting any and my results in July showed I am severely hypo, only thanks to this group and lovely ladies I received great advice which none of my GP would ever give me and i started to take eltroxin as i suppose to and made it into my routine and yesterday my blood test shown that my dreaded cholesterol is back where is should be, LDL is still bit higher at 4 but huge improvement as two months ago it was 6. My HDL is 2.1 which i am very proud of too, i lost 4 stones with low carb diet and it really changed my mindset about food, i no longer crave sugar and starchy foods. Anyway I really do think everyone should try to do their own research and not leave it up to just one opinion, my Gp's are nice but even on my last visit they didnt think i will manage to bring my level down, they never specified i have to take it on empty stomach and not taking any supplements with it. So huge thank you to everyone who replied and send their advice to me ❤️
