Statins - again 😀
Recent test showed my
LDL
at 1.51. Cardiologist says it should be lower than 1.4. I guess that’s the level for those with established AHD? I’ve been taking 40mg of Atorvastatin for 7 months now. No HA but 2 stents after 80% blocked LAD.

EPIC Study - interesting finding and recommendations
I think the most likely explanation for why meat eaters have a higher risk for ischemic heart disease is
LDL
cholesterol. This could also explain the increased risk for cerebral hemorrhage, as it's known that very low

can [be associated with] a slightly higher risk for stroke.

Overwhelmed, any advice would be appreciated.
My GP has now prescribed a statin due to cholesterol of 5.8 with high
LDL
and I'm not sure whether I want to take this? I would like to try a low carb diet but I'm worried about the effect it would have on my thyroid? I'm also peri-menopausal to boot so I have hormonal issues too.

Cabizataxel/carbo not working
Well Mike started his 5th cycle today and his PSA has risen the last 2 blood draws. His ALP and LDH has also risen. Is there anything left? I’m pursuing LU-177 but it’s not easy to figure out logistics when you still have 2 young kids at home. Feeling deflated 😕

Weight gain after medication raise
About 6 months ago my medication was raised from 100mcg to 125mcg and I have gained weight. My diet is pretty good and nothing has changed apart from my weight gain other than that I feel better. My aim is to get optimal and lose weight. I am feeling so frustrated with the lack of help from Gp who says

Criteria for Commencement of Next Line Therapy
Most of the oncologists that I have talked to date consider a PSA of 2 ng/ml as the threshold for classifying a patient as castration resistant and before commencing the next line of therapy. A PSA doubling time of <10 months, elevated LDH and ALP values and metastatic progression are other criteria

Fiberneualgia
I have found that taking low dose Naltrexone helps the pain of fiberneualgia as well as most auto immune issues. I started with 1/2 mg and slowly increased it to 4mgs. I knew I had to increase it when the pain started to return. I am also on a low carb diet, meaning I have pretty much eliminated sugar
