Results after 4th infusion of Docetaxel. And just started 5th.

I was diagnosed on Nov2019 with PCa with multi mets on spine, lymph nodes and femur ( PSA 162) . Started treatment on Zytiga, Zometa, Lucrin and PSA dropped to 0.232. Decided to start docetaxel in Aug with Zometa and Lucrin. After the 4th infusion, it had dropped to 0.217. The LDH was little out of the range 239, Haemoglobin was 13.1 slightly below range and Monocytes 11.2, which was slightly above range. But Onco was not concerned. All other indicators are within range.

Would like to hear opinion from this forum on:

1) Should I be concern about those indicators that are outside of the range?

2) Onco suggested that once done with the 6th infusion of docetaxel, and the results continue to show progress, he is suggesting I will only need to Lucrin and Zometa. And will do a possible psma scan in a few months.

First of all. .Congratulations for getting PSA to almost undetectable level. (most oncs consider 0.2 or lower as undetectable PSA)

As for LDH...this enzyme is a biomarker for extent of inflammation in your body. It is not specific to prostate cancer but is a general indicator of inflammation in your body.

It is good to get this further down but its not that important.

Hb of 13.1 is also not bad..its still in lower range of normal .

The important missing number is that of Alkaline phosphatage (ALP) which tells about

how much bone metastatic activity is still going on. Get that number please !

In Nov, the ALP was at 260 and it has been coming down. In the last htree month,the ALP has been between 84 to 91 .
