Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows what this could mean as my time of the month is every two months and when I have it I only have slight bleeding and it can last for 18 days, my liver serum ALT level is 134 u/l (<33) high and my serum HDL cholesterol level is 1.2 mmol/L (>1.2) low, my doctor requested for more bloods and to see me with a follow up appointment but I'm just worried and want to know where I stand because I've been reading up about the meanings and it says about cancer and blood disorders and chronic infections just want a little insite in if I've got to prepare for the worst outcome thankyou x

Hi Chloe - she'll be able to explain what the bits of the tests mean but can't give a diagnosis.

Hi, sorry I cannot help with medical questions, not my forte. Nicole has given you brilliant advice below. I find writing down my fears, thoughts and feelings and then that makes sure I ask my medical team members everything thing I want to know. I have also learnt to ask those follow up questions too. Blood cancers seem to be very complex conditions, with often symptoms that cover a multitude of conditions, and we are also very complex, unique beings, so hopefully my medical team looks at me and my symptoms uniquely before diagnosing and treating. Yes, I believe in planning and preparation, but I am also going to enjoy today and have the odd treat. Take care and treat yourself.
