Hi, I'm on 125 levothyroxine. I've got three children and went into the menopause after the third was born - almost three years ago. I'm on evorel conti patches. For the past two years I've had daily migraines on waking, have found it hard to be focused and to do what I need to do, have had a very sore

Vitamin C
Morning All, I’m searching for a Vitamin C supplement, preferably not as ascorbic acid. I’ve trawled through here and google, and find that mostly supplements are of fairly high levels, which I believe we don’t need as we will just excrete what we don’t use. Seems RDA is around 100mg (or less) when

Potential underactive thyroid
hi, I’ve had to go private for fertility investigations after loss and have had some more intensive thyroid testing done after the NHS advised no concerns. I’m hoping someone can give me some guidance based on my results as I’m quite lost with what to do/where to go next. TSH levels Oct 2019:

Doxazosin
I was diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis in 2017. Today I was prescribed Doxazosin, an alpha blocker, for palpitations and hypertension. This is supplementary to the Irbesartan and Felodipine I've been on for many years. But I'm not happy with the leaflet on the medication, which lists liver problems

My Story for private endocrinologist - what Qs to ask? 🤔
This is everything I have sent to the private endocrinologist about the last two years, with supporting evidence…. Dear Private Endocrinologist, I believe I have symptoms of hypothyroid or central hypothyroid or an issue with HPT axis however my blood tests are within the NHS ranges. In the two

missed diagnosis
hi all. I was diagnosed with Hep C in 2020 after being referred to specialist due to results of some routine blood tests. It’s most likely that it was a result of a blood transfusion in 1986. Following treatment I am now clear of the virus but sadly have developed cirrhosis. I have a life policy that

Quick update on bloods - happy with analysis but posting for interest/comparison - also CRP info?
I did manage to get the bloods done and thought it worth a quick before and after. I'm mostly happy now with how to analyse but don't know if anyone is interested in efficacy of different approaches. I've mostly followed advice I was given here, except that I could no longer get Thorn basic b's so

Ester C - you may want to reconsider
having had a dreadful cough for 2 weeks over Nee Year, I have struggled to get the last remnants off my back so I dig a lot of digging and surprisingly found a recommendation for 1g daily ester C to improve things. Boy did this turn out to be a great bet - and after less than a week things have genuinely

Vitamin C to reduce neuro inflammation but is said to increase MAO b activity
This study, utilizing a PD mouse model, has demonstrated that Vit C reduces neuroinflammation by the modulation of microglial responses and astrocyte activation, reducing dopaminergic neuronal cell loss involved in PD insurgence.Furthermore, mouse gait and spontaneous locomotor activity were partially

Choosing the right supplements
I am searching for comparable supplements that group members have recommended. I am in the US. I am adding a photo of the 3 I have picked out. I have chosen these based on the description and the price. I am on a budget, but I want to get the best I can for the money I have to spend on these, but

Mucin and Hypo symptoms
Recently, I stumbled upon information about mucin and hypothyroidism. This is another lightbulb moment for me while struggling with hypo symptoms. I tried (and failed) the pinch test and my legs and upper arms have the most visual signs of mucin. I have read posts where individuals that were on T3 found

Mother-in-law with EDS has very low Potassium readings
We thought Mum had dementia and the EDS (diagnosed) means she lives with pain and is unsteady. It just transpired that she has had a long term kidney infection and really low Potassium and has been hospitalised and put on a drip for this twice this week, its possible that this and not just the EDS has
