Mucin and Hypo symptoms

Recently, I stumbled upon information about mucin and hypothyroidism. This is another lightbulb moment for me while struggling with hypo symptoms. I tried (and failed) the pinch test and my legs and upper arms have the most visual signs of mucin. I have read posts where individuals that were on T3 found that the mucin diminished over time.

Can mucin affect the face, as in the eye area? I've had multiple flesh colored small nodules on my upper eyelids, not painful and almost look like milia, but there's no white or yellow. Just skin colored multiple bumps along upper eyelids.

Can anyone give personally accounts of how they struggled with mucin and how, and how long, it took to resolve? So far, I have been prescribed NDT and waiting a host of labs to be done in a couple of weeks. For now, I am sticking with a pastured meat, wild caught fish, and fruits, nuts, and veggies. My list of supplements I take is growing constantly. But I am wondering, besides NAC and Vitamin C, if there are treatments that also work like infrared sauna therapy?

If anyone has any information on this or any other mucin treatment, I'd love to hear about it. If you are more comfortable PM-ing me about that, that's fine too.

KriVa,

Sorry you haven’t received a timely response.

My answering will move your post back onto the 'daily feed' for members to re-view. Alternatively you are welcome to repost your question.

hallo I have this on my legs and did in my face. It’s much reduced now. Swimming seemed to have helped and settling on a dose of T4 which worked well enough for me. My legs are still heavier than before but definitely better.

I just started far infrared sauna therapy yesterday. I bought an offer of 10 sessions for £100 I only lay half as the other half was a present.

I sweated a lot and I am in pains, I drank almost 4 litres of water , the pains are a sign of detox. I will report in a few weeks in how it feels. I am also changing my diet habits. No refined sugar, lots of rainbow colours of vegetables at lunch and dinner

Plenty of good fats, Herbs and spices. Added liver to my diet 4 times a week.

I am also taking the supplements I was deficient on B12, Vit D with fat and b complex.

So far b12 has been a game changer in my mood, waking up with no pain, full energy.
