hi. Vit C given by IV? I have never heard of it. and not heard of it as an mbc treatment. what does it do if you don't mind explaining....I'm very curious. oh, and has there been studies? I assume yes. learn something new everyday😉. hopefully someone else who is doing it will answer. best wishes.....carole xo

It's been used in the more alternative healing world for many years. I think it is more widely accepted in EU than the US but I was actually reading over some studies just recently, so yes some have been done but sadly not enough. There is indication that it can help (side effects at least) in conjunction with chemo (of course many regular oncologist's would be afraid to use it without stronger scientific "evidence").

interesting. I guess most oncologist's aren't big on administering 'meds' that are not FDA approved...and I get it. but like everything else, I'm sure there are some onc's who will. personally, i don't know enough to have an opinion on whether I would take or not. I did do a quick google search...

so I take a 500mg chewable Vit C tab every day....but that is now sounding like a teeny tiny baby dose😉.

thanks so much for the reply! best of wishes. XOXO

all I know or have read is that vitamin C sticks to the arteries going to the heart and is not advised. However, perhaps they are referring to the actual tablets and not IVC?

Have you ever taken it via IV though? It's a much higher does like that. Curious because I have also been intrigued by the possibilities of it helping

Yes, I've take IV for 6 months, during insuline potentiated therapy, IPS, with hyperthermia, blood ozone, alkalinization, its one of the best for sure, when you take IV, its half of your body weight, 60 kilos, 30 grams of Vitamin C

I’ve heard of it as one of the alternative cancer therapies (used at treatment centers in Germany, Mexico, Switzerland) and am curious to hear how it’s been going for you - after 10 months do you feel there has been an effect?

I have been off Xtandi 3 1/2 months due to arrhythmia issues and my PSA is .48 down from 123.

I haven't but I was just reading more about it again recently. In fact I copied this note about it for myself the other day.

HIGH DOSE VIT C With Afinitor in vitro, increased efficiency

It's the same old problem as usual, the drug companies with money have no motivation to research it so we will be lucky if we ever get definitive scientific research to show if it really helps, and to what extent.

Curious which country you are in? Do you feel any benefit from doing it? Has it improved your overall bloodwork, or tests at all?

Sloan Kettering has a very useful way to check for claims and possible contraindications of various substances . Here is their page on Vit C

Thank you for that - a very informative site!

I have looked at Vitamin C injections. I couldn't do it while taking AC. It interacts with the Doxorubicin. Now I am starting a different chemo it might be something to revisit.

I am certainly in favor of supplementing mainstream treatments with well documented nature therapies.

Yes, it's a very useful resource. I've also used it to double check for any contraindications to certain things

Are you also taking Berberine, Fenbensazole, Red Yeast Rice, Ursolic Acid (Holy Basil) ECGC (Through Green Tea) and CBD? I'm very curious as to any other supplements either over the counter or off label drugs you might be taking. I have read a lot recently about IV Vitamin C along with other off label drugs and supplements helping a lot of people.

none of the ones you mentioned. Any that I am taking are not associated w my Cancer.

I started IV-C 75 gm twice weekly in August 2020. Also started using the protocol in the book “How to Starve Cancer without Starving Yourself.” The program was effective for 10 months (CA-15 down to 17). Then my markers started to climb. All the while my oncologists were against the tx. and constantly promoted Ibrance. Tried that for three months (stopped the other protocol because the meds. interacted). But on Ibrance my markers climbed faster. Was pushed to try Kisqali with Fulvestrant. My markers jumped by 50 points monthly for 5 months. My CA-15 is now over 400 and cancer in liver. I decided this tx was not productive. It also gave me a Candida infection for four months. Oncologist said it was unrelated. But I gave her 8 research articles about Candida making chemo ineffective and the prognosis for cancer patients with Candida was poor. These articles were from the NIH website in peer reviewed journals. So, now I have cancer in my liver.

I decided to use a prominent Chinese herbalist. He’s been in practice for decades and has a great reputation. That’s my story so far. I’m thankful for my faith in God.

Thank you for your comment. I am sorry IVC didn’t work for you. Please get better soon.

Be sure your IVC does not contain a perservative, or made from Corn. Also, needs to be administered with Sterile Water not Saline

Thank you Lawrence for your comments. I am good on all counts. I am down to 75g iv once every 6 weeks now but do take 15g powder and 6g liposmal every day. My next blood test is scheduled for Apr 24.
