Slowly but surely
Since, I've been prescribed

laxatives
for instance, most days, I do not need- more so the opposite!

Pain management
I am hyper sensitive to caffeine, alcohol and anything that affects the bowel like Imodium or
laxatives
. I have lost jobs and about to lose my current one. I do not qualify for any benefits and am at the end of my tether. Any advice much appreciated. Totally desperate and fed up of the pain.

Anyone else suffering from constipation after laparascopy?
So for now I'm using
laxatives
until my next doctor's appointment. If they don't find anything then, I may have to use them for the rest of my life. This is not something I'm looking forward to. Is there anyone else who had the same experience after surgery? And did it heal?

Allergies, Constipation and Motility (and Movicol !)
We were at the point where he needed the highest dose of the one of the strongest stimulant
laxatives
(sodium picosulphate) and was still only able to "go" approximately every 9-10 days, at which point the volume was so enormous that he would block the toilet frequently.

Please can you help? Father has End Stage Liver Disease
He was prescribed diuretics,
laxatives
, co-codamol, vitamin B and also given a course of Fragmin for a Deep Vein Thrombosis in his left leg. My sister and I met with his GP and then took him to see the Liver Specialist Nurse at Gloucester Royal Hospital.

Anorexia Nervosa
Are you also purging (getting rid of the food, feeling of food or calories) by making yourself sick or exercising obsessively or taking
laxatives
or diet pills? If you feel that this is the case for you, don’t despair, you’re not alone.

Does anyone know of a safe cleanse routine for PD patients?
I have visceral off meaning I'm becoming more and more dependent on
laxatives
, etc. Last week when I had a big schedule I seriously felt like I was dying. I can't fast because I have to take meds with a snack. I'm up to 100/25 sinimet every 3 hours. That's a lot of snacking.

Back pain/pouch of douglas/constipation/endometriosis/fibroids/endometrioma. Confused can you help me?
On other occasions the GP has given me
laxatives
or painkillers. I have definitely noticed that it is worse from ovulation onwards. I have about a week pain free a month. The whole time i have also had painful bowel movements and bad constipation - as if the nerves of the bowel are affected.

Yet another doctor
On top of this I have to to chuck
laxatives
down me, eat regularly and drink water like a fish to counteract the codeine bunging me up. The prognosis is apparently not good as the surgical options have poor results on the whole, so the future is looking grim to say the least .

Tips for a Successful Doctor Visit
Are you taking
laxatives
? Are you on a diet? How much exercise do you get? Are you using a sleep aid? How much alcohol do you drink? "If you're using illegal drugs, I need to know that also. A visit to the physician is totally confidential," emphasizes Permut. Are you under stress?

So much pain I am annoyed!
THAT plus the eye tics was so horrible that I was crying for most of the day until a large pack of emergency
laxatives
arrived! IBS is not fun at all. The Tourettes decided it had it's own method of trying to remove the blockage as I kept banging my fist into my gut really hard.

I want my mum to have a CA125 test I'm concerned about where she carries her weight and she has to take
laxatives
every day. My aunt has had a word with her as well and she has promised to go and see her GP.
