Following on from my post on bladder incontinence, is being constipated a symptom of CBD, mum said he is taking laxatives, as he is having difficulty in that area, tried giving more veg and prunes. But he likes the pills. Cheers.

Yes this a symptom , it can make passing urine difficult. Keep the laxatives regular and you can work out a dosage regime.

Yes. The district nurses were strict on this and when bowel movements became irregular they applied suppositories and if they didn't work they would resort to enemas. I would suggest you discuss this with medical professionals rather than try your own solutions.

Yes thank you, very difficult as he is reluctant to discuss issues like this, I am hoping for a referral to the bladder and bowel clinic, but the gp is stalling.

Dad bounced between being constipated to diarrhea. There's a fine line to walk when dealing with laxatives in this regard.

Hello, it’s a sure sign, my husband has had CBD for over 11 years now and nd we monitor his bowel movement, Ian is usually pretty regular, but after 2 days we give him lactulose, and also Senna at night our GP explained that different laxative work in different ways, who knew 🤨?

I have got into the habit of taking his temperature every day to check for signs of infection, if it peaks I give him the wonder drug paracetamol x

Thank you, I think some laxatives work by putting more water into the stool, to make it softer to pass, ( bucolax?) And others by bulking, I am trying to get my parents to try a more natural method, using prunes and figs, there are some cubes you can buy, like stock cubes, it doesn't help that he refuses to get any exercise, a gentle walk once a day, is all that's asked, but he won't go.

Ask doctor for Laxido, it’s gentler than normal laxatives and can be taken everyday to keep regular. I have cbd and it really helps. I also have prunes and bran flakes for breakfast with soya milk. Hope this helps.

Thank you, I will ask them to ask the doctor, but they are so reluctant to discuss that sort of issue. They would rather go to boots, they also have a habit of listening and being swayed, by their older friends, who don't have CBD, and swear by their favourite over the counter the counter remedy.

Cheers.

I give Esther a gummy fiber and a stool softener everyday and clear lax occasionally. She stays regular.
