well it’s been a while since I posted my fellow warriors Started having hip issues a couple of months ago. Did a Ct and MRI as well as X-rays. Found that the ball was gone off my left hip , then on closer inspection found that the right hip the cancer had eaten all the way thru the upper femur ?

Wondering what to do
Hello I have not posted for a while but I wondered if any had any thoughts to help me with my dilemma. I have had 18 rounds of chemo and rucaparib all of which have been successful for a while. I also had surgery in 2020 when I was diagnosed. My last lot of single carbo chemo have me a stable few months

Back Trauma significantly worsening RLS - anyone else?
Running through some posts on this board, I followed a thread to this website: https://www.rlshelp.org/. Within it, there is a section where he writes, "There have been many anecdotal reports of patients developing RLS (or having very significant worsening of their pre-existing mild RLS) after surgery

I'm home! Mitral Valve repair went well. I'm so tired though.
Just an update about my Mitral Valve repair surgery I had on 21st June .Surgery went well but the Bronchitis chest infection I had been fighting for 3 weeks prior to Surgery reared it's ugly head again due to being on the ventilator. I'm now completely resting at home. My mind is willing though

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Am I expecting too much from my clinic?
I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions which has just peaked in a major breakdown and we haven't even started IVF yet. I feel this is due to the clinic messing me about. I had a hycosy which showed tubes blocked. Waited 6 months for laproscopy which confirmed but surgeon said he managed to unblock

Hi there, I have been diagnosed with Endo a few weeks ago now with 2 cysts and ‘sticking’ kissing ovaries and bowel symptoms for years, currently in a lot of pain! Although pill is helping a bit… reading some posts on here all really helpful - I had no idea about this access to specialist treatment

Hi Forum, I'm looking for some advice please? I have been to the drs many times over the years to have my thyroid tested as I struggle with fatigue, depression, weight gain, brain fog. My bloods have always come back 'normal' and I've never questioned them... I trust the system. However, my family have

Tomorrow is finally the day of my MRI after waiting 3 1/2 months since the ultrasound and CT scan couldn't be sure of a mass or not.
After having to postpone my original MRI appt last month due to the death of my mother, I am finally getting it done tomorrow. Those who haven't read my previous posts, a fibroid and possible ovarian mass were found on an incidental CT scan back in March where I was diagnosed with diverticulitis after

Sub-clinical Hyperthyroidism
Hi everyone - the thyroid can be a mean beast! And the endocrine system is complicated. I was diagnosed in 2017 (not Graves) and after a year under the endo my carbimazole dose was fixed at 5mg and 10mg on alternate days. I was discharged to GP care. After that, every 6 month blood test showed TSH and

Looking for friends who have gone through prostate cancer
It's been 10 years since I had my prostatectomy. I was 57 at the time and it was a robotic surgery which fortunately saved my sexual nerves. As you all know nothing is the same after surgery. I now live in Florida. When I lived in Manhattan there was a rather large support group and I had developed

A quick question
Hello My Husband had a triple bypass, and then has had a couple of stents as well, all done whilst we lived in France. Post surgery he had an annual check up with his cardiologist and a bi-annual effort test at the local hospital. We have recently relocated back to England and I wonder is the same

Gabapentine
I have had RLS for many years. I am 85 years of age. My doctor prescribed Amitryptiline 10 mgs last year but I found that after a while it had no effect whatsoever. My doctor has now prescribed Gabapentine but on reading the leaflet with the package it has so many side effects that I 'm afraid to use
