(sorry for image quality) Any one experienced seeing or having similar to the above images ? im so worried he is mid 50's..While sat in the garden Monday 24th June i noticed a strange red mark on my hubby's for arm, we chatted about it and he informed me it was a very pale brown when it appeared around a yr ago, but changed to a red colour around 5 days before. I TOOK A COUPLE 0F PHOTOS WITH MY PHONE AND ZOOMED IN TO SEE IT WAS 2 DIFFERENT RED TONES AND DESPITE LOOKING ROUND IT IS ACTUALLY VERY JAGGERED . I called the surgery and requested a call back rather than sitting for an hr to speak to them, When they called back around 3 hrs later, they booked to see a nurse stating only a nurse sees patient's with suspect skin issues. We went Wednesday, on going in to her room , she totally dismissed looking at the various photos, she was not good at talking at all, apart from 4 or 5 ???, referred him to dermatology, who called him that afternoon informing him no way of seeing anyone within the next 14days, & pushed him to accept seeing a private service they use who take certain types of images which are sent to the Dermatology dept who review and decide whether to see him. Many thanks

That sounds like awful response from the nurse, apart from referral to dermatology which is good. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

I would follow the dermatology suggestion, without hesitation.

Hubby's lesion might be totally benign, but what if not? You need to be sure.

Although the imaging service is a private company, I don't think you'll have to pay; but even if you do, I would say don't let it deter you. You want to be sure it is not melanoma.

Please keep us updated, caz, and all the best to hubby.
