CLL diagnosis
Hello all, I have just been diagnosed with CLL, because of a blood test in preparation for
knee
replacement
surgery
! I have a no symptoms other than mild fatigue. The encologist said this disease doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Some people go for years without symptoms.

Knee Replacement Yesterday
I had full
knee
replacement
surgery
yesterday afternoon. On the advice of the surgical team I had my normal dose of Prednisolone in the morning. Epidural for the op and played nice music through my ear buds to drown out the sound of the team and the sawing and hammering 😬. All’s well.

When you don’t feel like it… but you do it anyway… and it’s good 👍🏻
He raced off ahead for the final few minutes and I managed to put in a 6:10m/km pace for the last 250 metres, which is reminiscent of the pre-

best 5k pace! So all in all, a really good run. We showed grit! 🥳

RA complicated by arthritis in knees
Diagnosed with Degenerate Oesteo-Arthritis in both knees, treatment for which is steroid injection, for time being, but ultimately will need
knee
replacement
surgery
. My question is, does anyone have tips to reduce pain & swelling & preserve my natural joints for as long as possible?

knee surgery
Hi everyone, i hope we are all managing to plod along with your day. Ive had bad knee's for year but just put it down to horses when i was younger, riding, mucking out in the freezing temperatures and pouring rain etc but my main thing was showjumping and as you can imagine the strain on my joints.

Knee surgery update
Hello everyone, this is an update on my
knee
surgery
which I had on 23 March. In the end my partial knee became a total as the wait time meant it had deteriorated too much. I stayed in for two days (from the projected one!) and that was too short.

Knee Surgery and Xtandi
Hello everyone, I am scheduled for
Knee
surgery
soon because of an injury pre cancer. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist asked the question about taking Xtandi during surgery etc. My MO said to take it until the day before and then stop for like 2 weeks.

Had major

I’ve been put in the waiting list to have a total knee replacement and the waiting list is approx 6 months. I’m on 17.5 mgs of pred. The surgeon has said my healing might be slow because of the pred. Had anyone else had a knee replacement while on a higher dose of pred? I’m a little worried about having

knee pain post surgery
My husband has
knee
replacement
surgery
in Dec 2021. All was fine to start off with and he had a good range of movement. For the last 6-8 months he has been struggling with pain and movement. He can’t walk far and for long without pain relief.

Considering knee replacement surgery but ....
My main concern about
knee
surgery
revolves around during and after-surgery medication, infections, steroids and any decrease in kidney function. With my creatine increasing from 1.8 to 2.0 over 7 year, my Nephrologist has told me I should not need dialysis in my lifetime.
