Knee Surgery and Xtandi

Hello everyone,

I am scheduled for Knee surgery soon because of an injury pre cancer. The surgeon and the anesthesiologist asked the question about taking Xtandi during surgery etc. My MO said to take it until the day before and then stop for like 2 weeks. Xtandi has driven my PSA to Undetectable <.01 so I asked him the question, will this compromise my PSA in any way for two weeks? He said no, it should help you to heal and to get back on your feet after surgery. He did go on to say, that if you want to get right back on it the day after surgery you may. (Just for information sake, I have been on Xtandi since June 2022. Plus all the other SOC meds Lupron, Xgeva )

My question, has anyone had experience with Xtandi and surgery? any thoughts?

Thank you in advance

Keith

I have not seen anything about Xtandi interfering with the healing process, I’ve been taking it for nearly 9 years now and have had surgeries, was never told to stop.
