Newbie needs advice
Have so many symptoms of lupus, but only realised when I logged onto gp records online to see that my latest bloods show first states of liver and
kidney
failure
. Considering I live a health lifestyle I was shocked. I don't drink, smoke, eat healthily, exercise etc etc.

Kidney transplant assessment
Hi I have stage 5

. My GFR IS 10. I had my first
kidney
transplant in May 1995. This will be my second. I am meeting the transplant surgeon, nephrologist and anaesthetist this Wednesday. They will let me know if I am suitable to go back on the transplant list.

Warning Signs Before My Cardiac Arrests
Hi -- after I posted the description of my 4 cardiac arrests, a couple people asked for more details, like what early symptoms or warnings I had. So here goes. In the year before my cardiac arrests in July of 2018 I was awoken 4 times with breathing difficulties. I simply couldn't catch my breath

Good News
Well I am not sure if you’d call it good news, but it is for me 13th was the FIRST birthday of my new heart so to speak lol that’s what I call it One year ago my EP found a way to save my life. I was unable to walk, and I had had a cardioversion that not only failed, but almost finished me off

is this possible?
Is this a normal time period (23 days) for the disease to run, and is
kidney
failure
something that happens? Someone has suggested that it may have been undiagnosed sepsis rather than liver disease and now I just don’t know what to think. Any thoughts / advice would be so helpful. Thank you.

info on parathyroid please
Hi. This post isn’t about me but looking for info to help my daughter. She has had low kidney function since she had a tummy bug aged 11. She is now mid 40s and at her latest kidney review was told her parathyroid blood level was high. She showed me the numbers but I can’t remember them - they were not

Advice on out of range TSH
Imagine my astonishment when the first line stated that I had ‘
kidney
failure
’ and that it was diagnosed in Dec 2020. Firstly, I had never been told that and secondly, I had never received any treatment for it.

can heart function improve ?
After my husbands stroke seven months ago he was diagnosed with stage 2 heart failure . I asked the arrhythmia nurse if there was a chance he could have another eco cardiogram to see if this had improved because how do we know how much exercise is safe etc if we don’t know this ? She just sort of stared

Imnusupressants Post Transplant
Hello,Im wondering how this whole suppressed immune system works? My husband and I have got covid (6 weeks post TP for him). The whole household has pretty much had it all at the same time, but how will hubbys recovery differ? Is he less likely to recover as quick, more prone to secondary infection

Has anyone had severe breathlessness? I have had heart failure for over a year now, and I had a pacemaker fitted on 16th October last, then a change to my blood pressure tablet from Ramapril to Entresto. After a few weeks I became breathless, and developed atrial fibrillation again, so went back on to

Tacrolimus vs cyclosporin
Hi, I am currently working with my rheumatologist to plan for second pregnancy. My daughter is 3.5 years old and I was on tacrolimus during my pregnancy (I usually take MMF). I remained relatively well and stable throughout but there were alot of issues with maintaining the tacrolimus concentration

Question
I know this has to do with kidney function because when he had the original prostatectomy in 2014 he had a severe reaction to Toradol, went into acute
kidney
failure
and spent 11 days in the hospital while they figured that out. Blood work shows creatinine still stable at .93.

Heart Failure diagnosis.
I am an 80 year old female with a history of Atrial Fibrillation. I have had 3 Ablations and am now on rate control drugs which keep me quite comfortable. Recently my breathing became a problem and I am getting generalised weakness . I really do expect this at my grand age but I do like to drive and
