hi everyone, had AF for 12 years, finally got use to it, stopped worrying and then found I was feeling a lack of strength and energy. ask my GP to check my BNP for heart failure, came back high,

that started investigations they said my right ventrical was dilated, talk of pulmonary hypertention not confirmed, now I have been told they have found congenital problem.PAPVR its all a waiting game I dont know whats wrong, I have known about this since last year, anyone here know about any of these problems, I thought AF was simple it seems not,

Hi Sue and welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask any atrial fibrillation questions.

We're a friendly, welcoming group willing to help in any way we can.

Re your PAPVR you may find the British Heart Foundation forum could be more helpful.

I didnt really expect anyone to know about PAPVR its rare, I wondered if anyone might comment or heard of pulmonary hypertention ,or anyone have right ventrical dilation i was told AF was nothing to be concerned about only a stroke risk, its seems a lot more involved.

PAPVR is a congenital malformation present at birth so I don’t think it is caused by the AF but it could be what caused the AF. One is a condition of the structure of the heart whilst the other (AF) is a problem with the electrics of the heart.

I think you would get much better info on the BHF site and Mayo Clinic have good information on this condition.

A lot to deal with.
