Can I play outdoor games after Kidney transplant?
Hello warriors! Got my lab test done. and the results were decent. Today my question is different. So my question is this: Are you guys allowed to play outdoor games???? If yes which are the games you play? I love to play cricket (as every Indian love playing cricket) but I am not sure I can play that

Recurring pneumonia in PT dialysis
My husband is on peritoneal dialysis. He has a kidney donor but we have been fighting pneumonia for 9 months now and its holding up the transplant. He recently had a broncoscope done to help with diagnosis as antibiotics were not working. Inconclusive results. Were told to wait 3 months and do another

Is laparoscopy worth it if I'm not in severe pain? (Severe endo)
2 years ago now I started getting mild pains and UTI symptoms. After multiple dipstick tests (that showed no UTI) I was referred to gynae, then an ultrasound (2 cysts and adhesions), then an MRI (severe endo all over the bowel, ovaries and bladder). I've been put on Triptorelin shots to prepare for the

Kidney surgery
Hi so I have some questions maybe someone has had something similar happen to them or a parent. My mom got her kidney removed and she has had persistent pay since- it has now been up to 3 weeks since surgery and says it hurts her. Idk if it’s bad or because that’s how these surgeries work

Just wondering
I meant to say I am not on dialysis yet. Is there a diabetic out there who is on dialysis ? And how do you cope?

Just recovering from getting new Kidney, at second call-in. Was EGFR 7 so was very tired. Blood results improved dramatically and no pain from operation site. Can't praise all the medical staff enough for their support. Wishing you all well on your Kidney journey - take care.

Severe itching after kidney transplant
I had my transplant last month and I had two blood transfusions. One bag the first time then two bags the second time. I’m not sure if it’s the medications but I have had full body itching since I left the hospital. My doctors tried benedryl, Zyrtec, hydroxyzine pamoat and I have put anything from cortisone

Success Rehabilitating, Transplanting Lungs using EVLP.
Surgeons at Vanderbilt University Medical Center successfully rehabilitated and transplanted a pair of lungs into a 62-year-old woman using advanced ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP). The transplant involved sending donor lungs to a laboratory in Maryland (Lung Bioengineering) for perfusion before implantation

Low blood pressure...they want to stop dialysis...please any advice is needed
My mom’s doctors are now saying that her blood pressure is very low, likely due to all the infections she has been fighting off. She has been on dialysis since her kidneys haven't been functioning properly because of an autoimmune disease. They can’t treat the disease due to her infections...and it seems

Blood results... Any ideas?
Hi everyone 😊 I had some blood tests done recently but don't have an appointment with the rheumatology team until September, and I can't decipher what they mean on my own. I know no one here is a medic so I'm not looking for a diagnosis of anything, but just some input from people who can hopefully

Epidural Lipomatosis
Good morning Warriors! Looking for stories and feedback/treatment for any other men on this board who have developed epidural lipomatosis due to steroid use on the thoracic spine? In doing a scan, a tumor was found at T6 and my dad is scheduled to have both removed on Friday. The surgeon is very optimistic

Kidney Stone or Appendix pain?
Hi, Could someone tell me the difference between the pain with a Kidney Stone and the Appendix? I've had a Kidney Stone before and it feels the same in some respects, but there also feels like there's a pain/ache lower down too in my groin area. I started getting stomach ache last night and there's still

Coronavirus: Using European supercomputing, EU-funded research project announces promising results for potential treatment.
EU-funded consortium Exscalate4CoV has announced that an already registered generic drug used to treat osteoporosis, Raloxifene, could be an effective treatment for COVID-19 patients with mildly symptomatic infection. The consortium is using an EU-backed supercomputing platform, one of the world's most
