Hi, my husband is on HD and goes to a center for treatment and has been a type 1 diabetic since age 6 (he is 62 now) I am happy to ask him any questions you want me to! Just let me know! He has learned to gauge his sugar before during and after treatments and is an absolute fanatic about keeping his sugar controlled very tightly - he has a free-style libre reader which has been fantastic- no more finger sticks! and he can check his sugar constantly throughout the day - it is a fantastic invention and medicare and most insurance companies will pay for them.
Let me know if you have any questions- I try to pop on here once/week - I initially thought I would be the one getting advice, but it turns out we have a lot of experiences to share that others might benefit from!
