Addissons disease
Good afternoon. I was diagnosed with Adison's disease in 2022. Prescribed Prednisolone 5 mg. Now I take hydrocortisone tablets 20 mg per day. Fludrocortisone 0.1 mg. Once a year there is an Adrinal crisis, I end up in intensive care... Constant weakness, no vitality, I sleep a lot... I am only 43

Final Pluvicto shot and things OK
I just had my 6th, and final, injection. Feeling well but everyone concerned with kidney function dropping -- hopefully transient and not an on-going trend, on the plus side this is the last time it has to deal with all that radioactive liquid. Chugging water and peeing like a champ! To review:

Vaginal microbial test -two bacteria are higher. Any experience with treatment, recovery and impact on ivf/icsi ?
Hi all, I performed a vaginal microbiome test and the results show a higher level of Prevotella bivia and Ureaplasma urealyticum. Since these bacteria can have a negative impact on fertility ( implantation failure, bacterial vaginosis, sperm health), yesterday I contacted my consultant and today I

Number of transfers before success or deciding to stop
Hi fellow IVF warriors, I hope you're all as well as you can be. I would be interested to hear how many embryo transfers people had before they had success or decided to stop fertility treatment. Thanks so much. Xx

No period, waiting on this for FET, can anyone help??
Hi All, I had my egg collection at the beginning of March, I then had a period on the 18th March and am due to call to get booked in for FET on the first day of my next period which is now 21 days late. Is this common, has anyone else experienced this?? It’s super frustrating as it’s genuinely the only

What is my status
Please could someone clarify this for me as had an overactive thyroid which was knocked out with RAI. I am Thyroxine which, thank goodness, has stabilised me so that I am Euthyridic (sp) however there are the occasional flareups of eye problems associated with Throid Eye Disease. What I am really confused

IVF 2nd FET advice x
hi ladies I am pretty certain my first IVF round has failed - I am still in my 2ww but have been bleeding quite badly and my test said negative - I had a good cry to husband earlier but I don’t want to cry anymore! It’s all in Gods hands and I know I’ll have my little baby soon - and I am grateful

always question
Just this morning there was a post about questioning the legitimacy of a survey about itching - and receiving payment for completing it. Some of you reached out to The PBC Foundation (as did I) to just make sure it was 'for real'. I am just as hopeful that when any of you don't feel the care you receive

Time to PSA Nadir is related to progression-free-survival
This graph from Teoh (2014) plots the relationship between Time to PSA Nadir (months) versus Time to Progression (months) (i.e., Progression Free Survival). Cohort: ADT monotherapy (No RP or RT), all metastatic patients, median 74 y.o., GS = 8-10, N=419. A cubic spline curve fit matched the data points

is my pain Endo + did it cause my miscarriages?
finally a community that I can ask! Please help as I’ve seen so many docs and none can give me an answer. I’ve had 3 miscarriages in 12 months. From ovulation from the 1st pregnancy and ever since I now have lower abdominal pain - maybe 3 out of 4 weeks of the month. I never had this pain before

Abiraterone seems to be working
An update on my situation. To review, I now appear to be castrate resistant after about 6 1/2 years of being castrate sensitive. My MO put me on Abiraterone, along the existing Lupron. I had my MO appt and my PSA has fallen from 4.5 to 2 after about 7 weeks on Abi. This is my second iteration with Abi

Cholesterol and fertility... am I overreacting?
Hiya folks, hope everyone is okay. After my second IVF round ended in failure I've been taking a few months off to lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible (I mention the changes I've made in previous posts). I've also taken a bunch of tests including a full thrombophilia screen (which has come back

Cortisol test
Result of morning cortisal test was 131 which is rubbish (range 102-535) and explains why I feel exhausted some days. Have been on 3mg for several weeks. Looks like it’s a Synacthen test next. Thanks PMRpro for the info on that. Is the experience ok anyone out there who’s had one?

Pergoveris vs gonal f
Hello, not sure if anyone can answer this but I thought I’d ask in any case. I did my first IVF round at the age of 35 using gonal f. This was successful. Fast forward to current time and I’ve been on pergoveris for my last two rounds which has not been very successful. We have decided to do another
