Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever done PGTM after already having done PGTA on frozen embryos?
We had a successful IVF round and now have a daughter. We have 3 euploids frozen from that round, but since then my partner has been diagnosed with an inherited genetic condition that can be tested for with PGTM. Obviously we will have to talk to our clinic, but just wondering if anyone has ever done this and if they lost any embryos as a result? i know it’s not great to defrost then refreeze.
We would probably be better doing a fresh collection and doing PGTM before freezing but I’m still breastfeeding so can’t go down this route any time soon. It’s a dominant condition so 50% chance each embryo (and our daughter) has it 😢

Hi Luka_Ru, I'm so sorry that you find yourself in this situation. I have an X-Linked condition which passed onto my two boys and it just feels that it further complicates the IVF situation. I personally haven't thawed and retested but I'm part of a FB group Genetic Carriers - Pregnancies, in case you don't already know about it. They have people that have gone through all different types of scenarios when they get a diagnosis, so you could ask the question there and see if anyone has any info for you. Wishing you the best whatever you decide to do.
