IVF - when does progesterone usually start?

Hello everyone

Just starting our second cycle and it’s amazing how much I forget from the first 🤯

Just got our protocol emailed from Greece to start tomorrow and flying to Athens on Tuesday.

No mention of progesterone yet although I have been prescribed it, does this start just before transfer. I hate to question the consultant and I knew the wealth of experience on here could provide me with the answer.

Thank you in advance ❤️

For a fresh transfer I'm fairly sure I started cyclogest pessaries the evening of my egg retrieval xx

hello, It’s advisable to use it in the morning of the day of the transfer, though I started my pessary the evening of my eggs collection.

Just to add to what others have said, if you are doing frozen transfer then you start progesterone 5 days before the transfer x
