Hello take every day at a time stay in touch with some other parent so you have someone too talk to through out your journey it helps. Are you from the uk?
My son also had the Kasai. He had the Kasai at 8 weeks and it did not work. However I do know many children for whom the Kasai DID work even if they had fibrosis. I hope the Kasai will start to work for your son!
He had a liver transplant at 11 months old. Shortly after his liver transplant he developed PTLD and had to get Rituximab for 6 months. Since then he had been doing great! He is turning 4 next month and he goes to preschool, has friends and loves to play. It was definitely not an easy road but we are in a good place now.
