Gave up ALL Meds, feeling better than I have in 4 yrs, despite withdrawal symptoms
At some time on Friday 26th Jan, I decided to quit all my meds. I had been on antidepressants for just over 9 yrs, and diagnosed with hypothyroid in Nov 2013. I was only on 75mg levothyroxine. (will post more details of meds at end). By day 6, I started to think that being in a fog, aches pains,

How to get off Omeprazole
Hi all, I've been on 20mg Omeprazole per day for about 5 years now and would really like to get off it as I'm fairly convinced it's not good for you long term. I had a reflux type problem was prescribed it by GP and just left on it. Had to have an endoscopy (OMG) and it showed I have a small hiatus

Coming off omeprazole
Hi everyone, I was put on omeprazole last July as I had severe erosive oesophagitis. I was on a high dose 40mg and 150 ranitidine. With a low acid diet and these tablets after 9 weeks I had another scope and oesophageal ulcers all healed. Dose of omeprazole reduced to 20 mg a day which I have been on

GASTRIC ACID REFLUX - Is it HCL, is it Pepsin, is it Bile and what about PPIs?
Here is a learned scientific paper in it's entirety ( minus the references -available on request); which is not too indigestible. It is by far the best publication I have located on this life or death subject. I recommend ploughing all the way through as it will radically change your understanding of

Would really like some advice
Thank you for letting me join :) I am 32 years old and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2011, 4 years after an ultrasound showed my thyroid was enlarged and vascular and I had a high TSH. The GP I saw at the time said there was little point in testing for antibodies because the surgery only tested

I am UAT. Have been taking Acv for acid reflux but need to take Omeprazole to get it back in control. Would l be able to take ACV as well?
I know UAT suffer with low stomach acid so woder if taking ACV at the same time would be counter productive. I know it helps with my constipation. Thank you in advance for your help.

Painkillers - The cure all answer
4 months ago, i reported to my GP with 90% of the symptoms of PA. I had already done some online researching (as you do) and regardless of the diagnosis b12 supplementing seemed a good idea. So, I was taking some orally. I had blood tests done, which came back (conclusively apparently) to state that

I have supplemented before breakfast 20 mg Omeprazole with level teaspoon bicarb soda before going to bed. This has helped with previous waking in the night with a horrible bitter taste. Happy new year all round. Pat

My 4year old son coughing every night
Hello. My son has been coughing every night for months now. I feel so sorry for him.
