Well Hello, Finished two treatments of Doxil/Caelyx and it wasn't for me. My CA 125 went from 198 to 521 which is the highest I have ever been. My Oncologist was like, yep this isn't working. Did get a CT Scan and showed progression in my abdomen but thank God not in any major organs. So now will be

Large complex ovarian cyst
If anyone can give me some advice I'd be very grateful! I was recently diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst measuring 5.5x4x5cm. With an endometrium of 1mm. In the left adnexa there is a multiloculated cyst with thickened septations calcification largest 5mm. Also some small calcifications visible

Hi, Doc has prescribed Adcal-D3 tablets. twice daily. says on the packet each tablet contains 1500mg calcium carbonate (=600mg calcium) and 400 I.U. cholecalciferol (=10 mg vitamin D3). and yet ive noticed some people on here are taking far more than that. Is this the correct dose? and why would

Hello. New to the forum but not to OA. Thought I’d say hello and add my story.
I posted this in another thread so I apologize if you have read it already. I did not pay attention to the length of time since the last comment so that post is buried toward the bottom. I enjoy research so I hope to add some articles or links to help all of us in our daily and sometimes hourly battle

On the edge with too many decisions
I did the first one, bone graft and
joint
fusion
in my right foot...basically gluing my heal back together and screwing it to a bone below the ankle. I cant walk on it for 3 months. I think we don’t have to do the second one, bone grafting the two forearm bones.

A glimmer of hope…
I’m now on the waiting list for a big toe
joint
fusion
, this should put an end to the pain and swelling. Covid has put a complete spanner in the works and my op has, understandably, been delayed for months.

Weight Gain with Ibrance/Fulvestrant
Hi beautiful ladies. For those on Ibrance/Fulvestrant, have you had weight gain and if so, how are you combatting that? With the combo of Ibrance, Fulvestrant, menopause and an underactive thyroid, I feel like I am at the bottom of a hill looking up and it's going to be a really tough climb! I don't

Anyone else here have a joint replacement?
I’m on week 4 with 1 left to do. I have a right hip replacement. It feels really good to be exercising and not to have hip pain! Anyone else getting back into running after a joint replacement? (Just to say my surgeon has said I can run!)

Spinal Fusion identified while on Lung Transplant List
Good morning all, I have been listed on the Lung Transplant List for over 2 1/2 years now. I have recently had another bone density scan and it showed up a spinal fusion? Has

Greetings
Hello all. I am new to the site. I have been searching for a MBC-specific group to join since our situation is vastly different than many others. I went through my initial Breast Cancer starting in 2012. Stage 3. Chemo, radiation, bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction. All was well until October

Piriformis Syndrome
Hi everyone I was diagnosed with PMR in March 2020, started on 15 mg. Reduced by 1mg each month, had to return to 10 mg in January 2021. Decreasing slowly and now down to 8.5mg. Towards the end of January Piriformis pain came back, I’d experienced the same thing in October 2020. Have been doing

Should I push harder for tests to rule out essential thrombocythemia?
I have a complex medical history, mixed connective tissue disease, RA, eosiniophilc esophagitis, hypopituitarism, adrenal insufficiency, exercise anaphylaxis, a bunch of things that are unrelated, some serious, some annoyances. I have extremely high bone density, so have degenerative spinal disease

Myasthenia and Lupus?
Has anyone on here with double vision gone on to be investigated for, or diagnosed with, myasthenia gravis? I've had a Lupus diagnosis for 20 years with double vision occurring occasionally with the flares, lasting a few weeks. However I've had horizontal and vertical double vision for the last 6 months
