I’ve been on the IC for over 18 months now, I see a few familiar names that I remember from when I was here last. I SO miss running, not only for the physical benefits but for the mental health benefits too.
I’ve been out due to osteoarthritis in my foot, I’ve got to the stage where I can’t even walk far now and after months of battling the musculoskeletal clinic I finally managed to get an orthopaedic appointment. I’m now on the waiting list for a big toe joint fusion, this should put an end to the pain and swelling. Covid has put a complete spanner in the works and my op has, understandably, been delayed for months. I’ve now decided to go privately so I’m hoping the surgery will be within the next few weeks and who knows I might be joining you all again 🤞🏻
I hope those that I went through the C25k and then into the 10k programs with are still enjoying the running and have accomplished your goals ☺️

Sorry about your condition Julia187, I am still here, I hope you can get that private operation as soon as possible after which, hopefully you can resume running, of course you will have to do C25K again.
Hi Julia. Good to hear from you after all this time. Pleased to hear this might finally be resolved. Hope you are staying well through these difficult times.
Hi Julia, great to see your post and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get an outcome that enables you to start running again - that'd be awesome for you :). I'm still making progress, but I'll happily do a virtual C25K with you again.
Hi Si, glad to hear you're still enjoying your running, how far are you doing now? Right now I'd take being able to go for a walk, the one thing you're allowed to do in lockdown and my foot just won't hold up! If I ever get back to running again it would be great to have my buddy by side again
As for me - fairly regular 5K with the occasional 10K for fun. I entered the ballot for the 2020 London Marathon and got a place so that kind of forced my hand with respect to distance. I completed the virtual London Marathon in October (it was hard) and, because of 2020, I'm also entered for this year's race (assuming it goes ahead). I'll start training for that in March / April. Despite all of that - I'm a 5K runner at heart. 😅
