Spinal fusion & bone thining
Hi guy's. I recently under went a spinal fusion to try & fix a painful spinal fracture from early March, 2 weeks later I am still having the same pain when I sit or stand for too long. My Onc has already said my hips are showing wear and tear + thining but has yet to put me on any medication for this

Calmare Therapy/Scrambler Therapy
Has anyone tried Calmare or Scrambler Therapy for Neuropathic nerve pain post surgery after having a spinal fusion carried out for scoliosis? Been reading about it online, not available in the UK but it is in Ireland, Italy and the US.

Enlarged dilated pupils
Had a very scary episode yesterday two hours after taking my meds (1/2 senemit and eighth of tsp 99% mucuna) Started with blurred vision like there was grey smoke in the room. My pupils dilated so large as if I was a junkie. This lasted for about 4 hrs. Felt otherwise normal (apart from freaking out

Are joint hypermobility syndrome and ehlers-danlos syndrome the same?
Question for those of you who might have both fibro and joint hypermobility! I was asked by someone to clarify if I had ehlers-danlos syndrome and wasn't quite sure and Google isn't helping me! A rheumatologist diagnosed me with joint hypermobility ages ago at the same time as fibro and didn't really

Failed Right Wrist Ulna Resection Surgery,Fusion w/ Tendon transfer at 32
I'm new here and I would like to share about my severely eroded & fused right wrist. It took almost 8 years before I was diagnosed with R.A and it all started with a right wrist pain that got worse over the years. Finally got great health insurance and a great Orthopaedic surgeon that tried his best

Supplements, nootropics, vitamins, herbs: how do they interact? which are not compatible, which work synergistically and timing?
Sept. 7, 2021: I’m adding this preface. Thank you for your responses! I did not anticipate this! Please do not have expectations of my efforts culminating in anything that is not very basic, already known by most people on this forum, or more than what is easily accessible on the internet. I use

How Does One Find a Good Neurologist?
I think that I may have been unlucky in my choice of neurologists. The last one that I saw told me that he sees thousands of patients. He said that I should be optimistic, and that I should trust him, but he didn't respond to messages that I left on his portal. My current neurologist prescribed

Gut microbiota-derived propionate mediates the neuroprotective effect of osteocalcin in a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease 2021
Interesting stuff. That osteocalcin (OCN) looks useful, but so does proprionate. Here is the full study: https://microbiomejournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s40168-020-00988-6 The finding in our study demonstrated that OCN increased the microbial propionate production, which might activate

SURGERY?
I am facing a full spinal fusion mainly due to double Scoliosis with Cobb angles of 38.4 degrees. I had a C2 through T4 fusion in Dec. 2014. Due to the Scoliosis, I am having significantly more general pain, especially in my neck and Sciatica in my right leg hip joint ("electric shocks"). Then radiated

RLS episode after Spinal Surgery
I’ve had RLS since 1995. Although I feel it was dormant all my life Bc I used to flail my arms & kick my legs as a child when I slept! Shared bed with sister it was a family joke she’d say I beat her up last night lol! Ha I just thank God it waited to show its ugly face! It came out after giving birth

Anterior Spinal Fusion means I can no longer sit upright due to severe pain in my SI Joints/Sit bones. Anyone else had the same happen?
I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has experienced SI
Joint
pain following on from a
Fusion
at this level. My Pain Consultant refuses to believe that my SI Joints are the cause of my pain (although he has no problem with the pain in my neck being caused by osteoarthritis there).

Blood test results , platelet distribution width??
Hiya, I am low in b12 and SI EOD at the moment. Have been going through my blood results and have noticed my Platelet distribution width is always really high(35-55%) and my plateletcrit is always really low. I’m not sure what these are as I notice they aren’t usually in others results. Any input? I
