Tommy’s miscarriage testing
I have had a load of initial tests done via the NHS before starting
ivf
I.e FSH, AMH, TSH, chcecking vitamin levels, checking for lupus, factor v Leiden etc. I believe I’ve also had a full blood count too but not entirely sure what that consists of. Thanks in advance :)

Game Over
We’ve had nothing but bad luck during our whole PGD
IVF
journey…I feel utterly numb. This was our final NHS funded round and with the higher numbers we hoped this time would be different. How wrong we were. We can’t afford another round now and even if we could there’s no guarantee it’ll work.

embryo transfer 2nd time didn’t work - feeling sad 😢
This is the second time with
IVF
. 1st cycle was nearly 2yrs ago under NHS which was awful, no care & second time around with a private clinic in South London (very friendly clinic & good pricing for
IVF
) but after 2 egg collections (collected 5) only 1 got to blastocyst but it failed.

Vitamin A - retinol.
Do the
IVF
clinics test vitamin A? I think vitamin A needs to be tested along with the rest of them. Better to actually know. Very few people eat liver and oily fish these days.

Do follicle sizes relate to egg quality?
As I am single I will be putting this behind me and concentrating on dating, so no further treatment/
IVF
for me, which brings its own sadness, but I am hoping this is a good insurance policy.

Here we go again
I’ve not posted since my miscarriage as needed to give myself a break from it all but am now about to start my second round of
ivf
(icsi) - with injections starting tomorrow. I’m feeling extremely apprehensive about it because I feel so much more pressure this time around.

Donor egg IVF
We've had such awful experiences with
IVF
, so I'm scared we will get nothing. I'm also excited of the prospect, but don't want to get my hopes up. what was everyone else's experiences? x

Any IVF success stories with own eggs at 45years?
I already have a son through
IVF
(3yrs) but seeing as this may be my last chance I was wondering if anyone has had any success? I have been told that it has a chance of 2% success. Am I crazy to try again? I really dont have the funds either so that is more borrowing.

Potential tubal issues - is laparoscopy worth it?
We are told that there's no wait list for
IVF
so if we do get a laparoscopy privately before I get a residency and become eligible for NHS funded
IVF
, that means that we can try for a couple of cycles without help and if no joy we could go straight to
IVF
through NHS.

Waiting for lap whilst trying to conceive advice
The specialist said I should of had a lap years ago and now I'm on a waiting list for one , 6-8 months then depending on how bad the tissue is and my egg count, then
IVF
.

Last minute nerves about donor egg cycle 😣
I’m due to start a new
IVF
cycle, this time using donor eggs on my next period, which will be this weekend. There was no wait whatsoever for my donor, we only picked one three weeks ago, and now the reality is starting to set in.

SMBC / late loss / twins / heartbroken / guilt
I’m a SMBC and have a beautiful 3 yr old thanks to
Ivf
, he is my world and last year I thought strong and hard about trying for a sibling. I really wanted 1 more and to give him a brother or sister to grow up with. I have low amh but all else ok.

Day 18 of Stims
Do we hold out for longer on this first round of
IVF
? We started on low doses of Gonal F due to PCOS, and only on day 3 of Ganilrelex... Im confused at the process, I know every person has a different experience and people respond differently etc etc.

Implantation when you have endometriosis
Hi everyone - I really need your insights I've had an ongoing uncertainty around whether I have endometriosis ever since I started
IVF
treatment and now I am at a crossroads with it. I had an MRI very recently which confirmed there is a small endometrioma on one ovary - approximately 1.8 cm.

How many cycles counts as a lot?
My friend stated that half the population goes through
IVF
and it's no big deal. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what she thinks, I am done with the friendship. But it does get you thinking....is 3 cycles in 5 months a lot? Is it fairly standard? How many cycles is average over how long?
