I wanted to post on here today as you were all so helpful and supportive to me when I was on here whilst going through 2 failed IVF 3 years ago....Well I have just had the biggest shock of my life a week ago - had the first ever positive pregnancy test at the age of 45 naturally concieved.I am 5 weeks 4 days.I had given up on the idea of ever having a baby and thought I was passed it at my age.I have been so anxious though because of my age and not sure I will even make it through but just wanted to give some hope to all those who feel like I always did.
Thank you for sharing that's amazing news!! 😃 Were you taking supplements, not drinking caffeine, wine, good diet etc or nothing special? Is your AMH still relatively high? Did you get good quality eggs when you did do IVF?
Not really anything different.I was happy in my new job and home after some stressful times and was just a workaholic.🤣 I had been taking multivitamins but that is all really. My AMH was quite good when we did IVF 3 years back at 40 & 42 but we only ever got one good blastocyst each round transferred but neither stayed on board. We had nearly 8 years with no protection too and never had a sniff of a pregnancy.I am still so baffled why it has happened now but I can't be fully happy as the risks are so high at my age.
Hi Louise, thank you for sharing your wonderful news. Congratulations, wishing you a healthy pregnancy. We are trying naturally after 4 failed IVF transfers. I have conceived naturally which sadly ended in stillbirth.. 2 days before due date my beautiful sleeping angel was born. I do feel stress is a huge factor so I'm hoping and staying positive that natural conception is the way forward 🤍🤍🤍
Just wanted to add a little hope for you (and other more mature ladies out there).... I recently had my little boy at the age of almost 45. I had a very large fibroid which meant I had to have a C-section and did cause some pain/discomfort throughout my pregnancy but the pregnancy was great all in all and my little boy was born at 39+5..... perfectly healthy and happily! So just take it one step at a time and try not to let age be a worry. Keep rested when you can and try and enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck and massive congratulations!🥰
Absolutely delighted for you! What amazing news. Wishing you all the best. So happy and encouraged to read about such a marvellous and special surprise. Take care and big congratulations 🙂
Oh wow! RBlouise, congratulations first of all! What an amazing post abd beautiful news! It really does give hope. I'm 43 and have had 1 failed cycle and about to invest in a 3-cycke package (God these things are expensive). It really gives hope to hear of so many women giving birth naturally even after failed ivf cycles. Your post means the world. I'm sure you'll be an excellent mother. So happy for you and thanks for sharing 🥰 👣
Congratulations. Stay calm and healthy and I’m sure all will be well. FYI I was slightly younger at 42 when I gave birth to my ivf baby but I watched many mothers in their thirties be induced early due to high blood pressure. So it’s not all about age
Hello Christianbaby,Thank you for asking - I am 10 weeks today been feeling pretty rough for weeks.I had a private scan at 7 weeks and strong heartbeat was seen.❤️
Just wanted to say after 2 early miscarriages and then 4 failed cycles of IVF during the pandemic and early last year another miscarriage. I found out I was pregnant spontaneously at the beginning of December last year and I am now 36 weeks pregnant and am 47!!! So never say never…… if it’s meant to be it’s mean to be …. So excited about the future now … x
I had to add my reply on here it's absolutely wonderful news. You have given me hope and even if it doesn't work out for me, seeing your success makes me really happy. thanks for sharing.
Congratulations! This is amazing news and thank you so much for sharing, as after 7 years of failed IVF treatments and turning 42 at the end of this month I really started to consider giving up on it all. You have given me hope and faith.
I wish you all the best and a healthy pregnancy ahead 💛☘️
Congratulations love seeing Good news 🤗Am 42 and got pregnant naturally using supplements daily. So it is still possible at our age 😁 . Wishing you a happy healthy 9 months x
for anyone interested i used the following pregnacare vitamins, Vitamin E 800iu ,folic acid 5mg ,75mg aspirin 750mg Vitamin C ( so 1 and a half chewable tablets) and from ovulation i used 200mg of progesterone pesseries on a morning sorry to TMI 🙈 But up me bum so it absorbs fully as vaginally it leaks to much. ( If you cant get the pesseries you can buy progesterone cream from the pharmacy and rub in on your tummy twice a day) I came across this combo on youtube from a lady who struggled with fertility. So thought why not give it a try. first month i did this combination i got my BFP. Anythings worth a try right... Good luck to anyone tring for their BFP and hope you get your BFP soon 🤗 Just to add to it ive also did IVF previously but this seems to work naturally for me x
