Metformin
Hi, I have a telephone appointment with the gynaecology department of my hospital following a doctors appointment where I asked to be prescribed metformin for pcos. My periods are massively irregular and I suffer from acne. My bmi is in normal range and my hirutism is manageable. I am just wondering

New to all this
I’m new to all this so got so many questions. I’m waiting for a diagnosis for Endo but spoke to many doctors who have said that it’s more than likely is it. I had the coil removed in December to try for a baby but 3 weeks ago was put back on the pill to manage my pain. However, I’ve started with pains

Other options than mirena coil?
I am asking for some advice, I was first diagnosed with Endo in 2015 via laparoscopy where it was discovered on my bowel amongst other places and the coil was inserted. I also already have the implant but I was told to keep that in. After some months still had pain as well as new issues with my bowel

First run after graduating
Week 10 Run 1 as a graduate of @_couchto5k Felt really good to be running having completed the programme! It was a beautiful morning; misty and damp, cool and still. Found this dew-laden cobweb neatly encased in a coil of barbed wire by my favourite tree. Forgot to set my tracker until part way through

Job
Hi guys. I had treatment for endo last August, I also had a IDU inserted during this procedure. Everything was great until December when the pain started to return, I saw my consultant again in February who suspected Adenomyosis-the treatment plan for this is not something I am ready for being only 29

Hi I’m 37 and I had the coil removed in December in May I started suffering terribly with stomach cramps to the point I took myself to a&e were I was just fobbed off. I was tracking my ovulation as I was trying for a baby and it seemed that my pains started around ovulation. Again in June the pains started

I've been advised to have pacemaker/icd fitted, as lvef 30-35%, previous MI and LV wall damage and regard as high risk candidate for scd. It IS twofer Thursday!
I'll spare you the pictures. Last night I set out a glue trap to catch a small rodent that was getting into the wild bird seed. I went to check the trap this morning and it wasn't where I left it. Looked around a bit and it was on the far corner of the deck but something was moving. I got closer and

Mirena coil hatred
Hi, I had a mirena coil in for 8 months since my c section....and it came out on sat. I was so happy because I hate it. I just rang the hospital department to ask about a different contraceptive and they said I have no choice but another coil. I cried on the phone to her. Is this definitely the only

Sudden intense left arm pain
Had a mechanical mitral valve fitted via OHS in June. Diagnosed with heart failure, EF 33% and I have a sudden death syndrome but have an ICD. Sitting at rest suddenly developed an intense pain like cramp in my upper left arm. Should I call 111?

IUD mirena coil vs jaydess
Hey :) I've just got an appointment booked in to have a coil fitted, but the lady on the phone mentioned the jaydess coil which I've never heard of. She said it's smaller compared to the mirena and has less hormones in it. I'm not too fussed about the length of time it works for, just the amount of

Here we go again... back to square one?
I have finally been referred to a Gynaecologist and after a few months on the waiting list, I was able to have my consultation in February this year. As my endo symptoms are under control (no coil, no hormones, just taking phototherapy), we agreed on just having regular ultrasound scans every 3 months
